24.01.2022 March 2019 - Metalrig were tasked with the emergency securing and removal of a broken facade panel on the Suncorp building in Townsville’s city centre. With all eyes on the precariously hanging panel, our team worked hand in hand with engineers and steel fabricators to design and install the cradle to safely remove the panel in the allocated 48hr window. After weeks of deliberation and testing on the failed panel, a decision was made to remove all panels off levels 8 & lev...el 10 of the Suncorp building. Fast forward to August/September 2020 and we were lucky enough to be engaged to re-install the facade panels to their original glory - albeit a new design and method of installation. Job well done to all involved!
