16.01.2022 Metford Public students enjoyed a fabulous performance today by Wyniss, a Torres Strait Island group of musicians. The children joined in the singing and actions enthusiastically and learned about toys from a simpler time. They represented their school with pride and were an outstanding, attentive and respectful audience. Well done MPS and thank you to Wyniss for sharing your talent with us.

09.01.2022 It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. We used the idea from the leaves we made during NAIDOC week. We wanted to paint real leaves. Vandy showed us how to put the painted leaves in a circle and we kept building and building.

08.01.2022 Maitland High School Orientation Day Tuesday, 1/12/20, is Maitland High School Orientation Day. Please check you child's bag for this note. Many students have not returned their signed note and will need to take it with them tomorrow and give to Mr Lovegrove the 2021 Year 7 advisor. Parents are to drop off their child at MHS on Pierce Street to enter the Multi-Purpose Centre (MPC) at 10:00am and picked up at 2:00pm again from the MPC. All deals in the note handed out in Week 7 and again on Monday 30/11/20.

04.01.2022 What an amazing time our kindy 2021 friends had at Metford PS this week. We were very excited to meet them and show them around our fabulous school. Happy faces everywhere. Big thank you to our current kindergarten students for helping our new friends enjoy the kindy space! We can’t wait to see you again next year.

01.01.2022 Today our junior Rugby League team represented our school at a Gala day at Lakside Sporting Complex. There were some big hits, great runs and fantastic tries. Well done to both Anthony and Jake who both scored 3 tries each. The boys won 1 game from 4 against some tough opposition with all games being decided by 1 try. The boys showed great teamwork and represented our school with pride. Well done boys!
