24.01.2022 Interesting few days from blocked cabin filter and service on a CX-5 Mazda to a broken clutch pedal box and clutch cable on a Kia. And the mysterious door lock failure on the Chrysler 300C. Drum brakes on an old van, wiring repairs, tyres, a car detail and ABS wiring fault and steering and shock absorber failure on a Ford Transit. All makes and models. Phew!

24.01.2022 Pre purchase Inspections are a must especially for travellers about to embark on an Australia wide adventure! This van despite being old got the A OK for purchase. The new owner will need to replace the back brake lining wheel cylinders and steering rack end but at least hes an informed buyer and can factor the cost of repairs into the budget!

22.01.2022 All makes and models is what we have always prided ourselves on. Keeps it interesting! Japanese and Korean still rule the reliability game. Europeans still win for style and comfort. Its funny as a bashed up Kia can be more roadworthy than a 6 year old Audi. Maintenance is key to not letting small issues turn into bigger ones. ... We keep an eye out for those issues and nip them in the bud.

16.01.2022 Another week packed full of surprises at our workshop in Rosebery. The Chrysler door was finally opened and lock replaced 5 hours later. The Hyundai iload had a faulty air flow meter the other iload has a broken timing chain. We did some routine service like on the Golf Diesel but mostly complicated and messy repairs! The BMW left running smooth after a blown coil pack. The Passat driveshaft boot and associated mess was all fixed. The green Mazda 2 had a loose steering rack and leaking shock absorber. At the end of the week we tackled whatever was thrown at us and did the right thing by the customers they were all very pleased.

12.01.2022 Todays patients at Metro... Got another Chinese car today. This Great Wall has done 160000 km and is in pretty good condition with no oil leaks or apparent issues besides a tyre pressure monitoring fault. Just routine service. The 2 Audis are for brake and suspension problems and maintenance and the Renault Scenic for regular service. The Ford Fiesta was for a timing belt and is quite a complex and long job to do and requires special tools for surgery of course!

12.01.2022 Been doing some major work on Subarus lately along with regular maintenance. Its a reminder of how reliable they can be if maintained properly & also how specialised these cars really are, and how untrained hands can cause a whole range of problems and faults.
