25.01.2022 Thirty years of Jurassic legacy culminate in one epic final film. Like the fabled monsters of 65 million years ago, this film too shall RULE THE EARTH. #JurassicWorldDominion
24.01.2022 Just added Part 2 to our overhead sign.
23.01.2022 So whos breaking the news to Nala that she wont have the run of the building, she cant just fall asleep in random places and will have to stay in the office when we reopen?
22.01.2022 The Christopher Nolan movie that could determine what movies we see for the rest of the year Metro Boronia gets a nice bit of coverage too.
21.01.2022 If 2020 couldn’t get any worse..... our foyers and candy bar have flooded again from our post mix machines... getting frustrated with this reoccurring issue to say the least, especially when it’s out of our control. Least our buddies at Poolwerx made us laugh
21.01.2022 Regrettably, we will not be opening next Monday due to the latest restrictions set by Dan Andrews and the increased numbers of active COVID-19 cases in the community :(

18.01.2022 MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of NO TIME TO DIE, the 25th film in the James Bond series..., will be delayed until 2 April 2021 in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience. We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing NO TIME TO DIE next year. See more
18.01.2022 We cant wait to see what you come up with!
17.01.2022 Happy New Year to our wonderful community Please note when we reopen tomorrow that masks will again be needed to be worn inside unless you are eating or drinking. Thank you for all the support and kindness throughout 2020! ... Stay safe everybody and bring on 2021! See more
17.01.2022 Its our Birthday!! 15 years ago today we opened our doors for the very first time! The past 15 years have been extremely challenging and exhausting - especially the past 3 months! We never thought in our wildest dreams we would have 3 months with no films on our screens, no smell of popcorn wafting through the foyer. The silver lining in this madness is that we have had some time off together which we normally dont get. We have been able to do so much work around the ...building such as changing hundred of seats (wait until you see how good cinema 3 looks!!) repainting the entire building etc. We cant wait for you all to be back. Even through challenging moments, it is so worth it to see the smiles on peoples faces who are grateful they can afford to bring their family to the cinema and buy them treats from the Candy Bar which they wouldnt be able to at the major cinemas. We will always be a family-friendly, affordable cinema. A HUGE thank you to every patron who chooses to come watch films with us! We wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for you guys! We appreciate everybodys support, from day one until now! Heres to many more years to come! - The Schouten Family

13.01.2022 Another day, more renovations! This is Nalas half sister Luna! She decided to come to Metro to check out our renovations!
13.01.2022 And just like that, day one is done! Thank you for all the support
13.01.2022 Two more weeks! We were hoping to open slightly earlier than the 23rd but as briefly explained below, we are waiting for our post-mix machines to be sanitised (there's a long list of cinemas waiting for this to happen for their sites). Drinking from unsanitised machines will make you sick, and we would never do anything to put our patrons' health at risk. Further information will be released closer to reopening!
13.01.2022 All is right in the world again, our foyer smells like popcorn .

12.01.2022 If you live in Boronia or locally, there's a fair chance you've been to Metro Cinemas Boronia and that you know these two lovely people, Tom and Ellie, who've r...un the show there for 15 years as part of their family business. Something you may not know is how tough it's been recently for our independent cinemas. I've known Tom for a while now and he's not one to ask for help, but recently I spoke to Tom who's keen to work with me to see what more we can do to ensure local gems like Metro are there on the other side of this. Because lets be honest, it's not just a local cinema, it's so much more. And no doubt we all have a lot of fond memories at Metro, it's a cracking local spot and I'd love for you to share your experiences at Metro over the years! Whether it's businesses or local icons like Metro, I'll always go into bat to support local. All I ask of you today is to let Tom, Ellie and the team down at Metro know that we are right behind them and can't wait to support them again! And I'll leave you with the words of Metro/Monty Python - 'Always look on the bright side of life. Stay strong Melbourne!' Naturally, love reacts only!
11.01.2022 Just putting it out there... we miss the sound of our cinemas, the smell of popcorn and our loyal patrons friendly faces Hoping everybody is staying safe and well and we truly hope we can reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
07.01.2022 Nice to see a local business show this much respect for our fallen heroes. Well done to The Acorn Bar & Restaurant. ... Once The Metro is open for business again, we will approach the film studios to see if we can get a movie to do a fundraiser for the Victorian Police in Memoriam.
06.01.2022 Whoever this is from, you have made our day THANK YOU, THANK YOU
