25.01.2022 There is no competition tennis today. All competition play is still temporarily suspended as per the SA government's current Covid regulations. Stay cool everyone and hopefully we will be back next week

24.01.2022 Hi there fellow tennis tragics, hopefully you are all looking forward to tomorrow's matches. Going to be a chilly one again but at least we can play. Once again we have a message from the recording secretary, this time to let you know there's now blank scoresheets available on metrolawntennis.com website in the posts section if you are struggling with match centre. Simply fill in the scoresheet (with the names of all players from both teams) photograph it and send the photo ...to [email protected] Please only do this if you cannot get match centre to work. Stay tuned for further updates on how to use match centre. Have a smashing day tomorrow.

22.01.2022 A little inspiration for us all
21.01.2022 The recording secretary would like to remind everyone that it is a really super helpful thing when the following happens: 1. The winning captain enters the scores on match centre, it is even more helpful if you put the names of both your own team members and those of the opposition. 2. The captain of the team that did not win, sometimes known as the losing team, logs in to match centre and confirms that the scores are correct and the names of the players are correct. When these two things are done, the recording secretary is a much happier individual. He is easily pleased. I mean, he's not angry...just disappointed. Stay tuned for hints and tips for when you are unable to do either of these things.
21.01.2022 Just a reminder, confirm your results. The recording secretary lives for it.
21.01.2022 Thats right, tonight is the MLTAs AGM, which will be held at Reade Park Lawn Tennis Club. Club secretaries and captains should have details. A link for those who are unable to attend in person, but would like to participate online, will be sent to club representatives today.
21.01.2022 By now all club captains and secretaries would have received the following email, please read and pass on the information to team mates. Dear Club Contacts, During Tuesday nights MLTA Committee meeting the committee voted to abandon the remainder of the season. This decision followed the directive of Tennis Australia and Tennis SA. MLTA planned to have 6 finals series commencing this weekend:... Mens Div 1 Mens Div 2 Mens Div 3 (teams 1-4 in Mens Div 3/4) Mens Div 4 (teams 5-8 in Mens Div 3/4) Ladies Div 1 (teams 1-4 in Ladies Div 1/2) Ladies Div 2 (teams 5-8 in Ladies Div 1/2) The teams which finished the highest in each of these divisions will be recorded as the winner. We believe that teams who are top of their respective divisions after a season of 16 completed games are worthy winners. The end of season drinks and trophy presentation at the Coopers Alehouse has been postponed until later in the year. Pennants will be mailed out and individual percentage winners will be announced shortly. This is an unprecedented situation. The committee has the participants health and safety as their priority, and this is our most important consideration. Thank you all for participating in the season. Please continue to enjoy your tennis and we will get together later in the year. Regards. Chris Flynn President Carolyn Corkindale - Secretary
