24.01.2022 This beauty of a rain head was spotted by one of our fans in Melbourne yesterday during the storms. In a twist of fate, it's actually working better by being damaged, however the whole thing is non-compliant. If you have rain heads like this on your building, they should be checked by an expert.

If plumbers ignore this simple regulation, water pours over the edge every time it rains and causes significant damage to the building below. In this case the facade of the house has been extensively stained and there is also major internal damage. Someone has also tried to stop it using a bead of silicone. Unfortunately this is a common defect and many contemporary style hou...ses are blighted by this poor workmanship on the part of the roof plumber. 01.01.2022 The insurance industry is already ringing the alarm bells about the recent La Nina declaration. All homes and buildings will survive La Nina events up to 1 in 100 year storms without any internal water entry if they are properly designed and constructed, but the tragedy is most won't pass the ultimate test when it matters. And that's going to continue to cost the insurance industry a bomb, which of course we all end up paying for by way of increased premiums.
