07.01.2022 Here is "Alanya" from the album "Saffron" - It came to me on a train in Berlin, after a holiday in Turkey that ended in the seaside town of Alanya. The perform...ance was shot in February this year when I was going through a period of avoiding my art, running away from my true self. Indulging in inauthentic connections. Self evading. That time, like the end of a Tetris game; putting the bricks of my soul anywhere, knowing Id already lost. The masks we wear to hide our Chaos can cause us more pain than the Chaos itself. The space between what we present, and what we truly are. Ive learned that this is the space where depression seeds. When our ideas of ourself do not match our true self. The dishonesty in not acknowledging what is. Suffering is the task of life. Our strength lies in how we face this suffering. The will to nurture the tiniest speck of Light when all we see is Darkness is the blood of courage. The currency of Hope. This work was my anchor back to self. It was the speck of light then, that brought me to the radiating Now. See more
