20.01.2022 Introducing you to this Australian Documentry screening at the Opening night! POP International film festival is this quick trailer. The battle to protect the G...reat Australian Bight, Australia's whale nursery, from the oil industry's drilling rigs has, in the last couple of years, captured the imagination of every surfer and ocean lover along the southern coast of Australia. We know this as the place where the red desert meets the chill waters of the Antarctic, where fishermen ply the deep ocean and road-trippers follow the world's longest line of sea cliffs to cross the Nullarbor plain. But for the Mirning people, who have lived along the Bight and with its whales for tens of thousands of years, the story is longer and deeper. It's an honour to be able to stand with Mirning Elders like Bunna Lawrie and share their perspective: "I am Mirning, the Nullarbor and The Great Australian Bight is my country. This is our Creation story. The Bunda Cliffs are part of my DNA. The whales are my family...the whales tell us how to live." See more

06.01.2022 Finally a public screening announcement! THE FACELESS MAN | SATURDAY OCTOBER 12TH 9:30PM James Di Martino | Australia 2019 | 100 Minutes | World Premiere w/ Fi...lmmakers Q&A Emily lives in fear of her cancer returning, so much so that her anxieties have manifested themselves in the form of a faceless creature, her fear incarnateor is it? In an attempt to distract her from her troubles, Nina organises a party weekend getaway for Emily and friends to a secluded cottage in a quiet country town. Orange Lodge is known far and wide as a good town with good peoplehowever they have a strong no drug policy and will go to extreme lengths to prevent any drugs from entering the town. More crazed locals abound in James Di Martino’s debut feature THE FACELESS MAN, an insane tale of a group of friends whose party weekend getaway in the country turns to bloodshed when they are met with both the town’s strict no drug policy and the menace of the titular character. http://www.monsterfest.com.au/monsterfest2019-2/
