25.01.2022 Mets Baseball Club members are now invited to place nominations for the Mets Baseball Club that would usually be presented at our end-of-season Presentation event. In the current COVID-19 climate we are unsure of when this event will be held, but that does not diminish the performance, work ethic and passion shown by our players, coaches and volunteers throughout the season. We are one of the largest clubs in Macarthur and have been providing baseball to the local community for more than 30 years. Mets Baseball Club has a wonderful club culture with a focus on learning new skills and player development all while having fun.... Head down to Mets Baseball Club on Sunday 2 August at Catherine Field to give t-ball/baseball a go! Baseball is about statistics so here are some stats for you: We cater for all ages 4 years old and up 4-14 year olds play Saturday mornings 15-16 year olds play Monday nights Over 35s comp played Friday nights Seniors (15year+) play Saturday afternoon September to March competition Representative pathways Great family-friendly club culture Mets Baseball Club is the home of the: 2018-19 MBL JUNIOR BASEBALL COACH OF THE YEAR 2018-19 MBL BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2018-19 MBL BASEBALL COACH OF THE YEAR (2019-20 ) UNIFORM: All new players are required to attend in person to be fitted for our awesome newly designed uniforms. 22.01.2022 - | On Tuesday, 21 July, Mets Baseball Club held its 2020 Annual General Meeting. In this current COVID climate our planned venue was ripped away from us only days before, and we were forced to use the wonders of technology and host the meeting via Zoom. Initially there were a few technical difficulties, but in the end we got there. It was certainly an interesting way to host an AGM with votes being returned by both online polling and text mes...saging which meant our returning officer was a little frazzled, but under the control of our amazing stand-in chairman Adam Forbes (our scheduled Chairman was in isolation due to COVID), we managed to get the job done. Thank you for taking charge Adam. It was certainly appreciated. Thank you to outgoing committee members Karen Randall and Rebecca Forbes for the amazing efforts you have put in over your years of dedication to our great Club. We are in a far better position having had your input, guidance and hard work over the years. You are handing on an amazing legacy. The AGM is also the time that Life Memberships are awarded and this year we welcome Club President, Shannon Smith to the illustrious ranks of Life Member. After more than 20 years of dedicated service to Mets Baseball Club you will be awarded with the now famous Life Member jacket. Well done! To our incoming Committee Members... CONGRATULATIONS! Now the hard work begins. With our Winter season cancelled and who knows what is going to happen in the COVID climate as we head into our Summer season, we can only plan to move forward like we always do and make the best of the situation we are dealt with as it occurs. Our Try Baseball Day will be held on Sunday 2 August at Catherine Field. This is your chance to register for the 2020-21 Summer Season whether it be as a player, coach, executive officer, scorer, umpire or a general club volunteer.
