14.01.2022 What can seem as trivial as a loose/faulty switch mechanism can actually be incredibly dangerous. Loose switch mechanisms are prone to popping off and exposing live components. Faulty switches are especially dangerous in bathrooms where moisture can build up in the room or wet hands may touch the switch. Although you may not directly touch the live components, water is an excellent electrical conductor allowing the electricity to travel using the water to the person touchin...g the switch resulting in an indirect shock! If you have any concerns about your switches or would like to book an electrical safety inspection we’d love to talk you. You can get in touch with us via direct message, email, text or phone (24/7 Callouts available ) 0417-066-238 [email protected]

11.01.2022 Stage 4 restrictions, the gift that keeps on giving.

10.01.2022 No, we’re not on Mars, we’re in one of our valued clients homes! We may look a little different, but we’re still the friendly faces at MetTEC taking all the extra precautions to keep you and our staff safe. Here we’ve been called out to replace a faulty light switch. This typically happens in high use areas like a bathroom as seen here. This in some cases can prove incredibly dangerous, should the plastic switch mechanism pop off and expose live contacts. As seen in the pict...ure in the comments. If you are experiencing anything like this in your home, get in touch with us so we can help keep you and your family safe! 09.01.2022 We jump at the chance to provide electrical services for the residents of Werribee South. How's that view? Werribee South has always been a hidden gem. As a sparky in training, Jordy is enjoying the freedom to eat his lunch, wherever, whenever with a side order of Vitamin D and fresh air. Does it get any better?

09.01.2022 Hey guys, Jordy here. So we’re halfway through the second lockdown, how are those of you going who are working from home or doing home based learning? I know I’m facing the hurdles of it. I tried asking my trade school teacher today in our online class what the unit of power is and he just kept saying Watt louder and louder no matter how many times I asked. I think the sound must have been playing up... I’ll ask Mick tomorrow. Take care and stay safe!

06.01.2022 Thanks for the reminder, Facebook memories. Our battle continues : Whilst everyone else was stockpiling toilet paper and 2 min noodles, my loved one was razing the health food aisle. Anzac bikkies are one of her specialties, but I might need to remind her to put down the chia Rosepetal. Or it might just be better to do that silently.
