15.01.2022 A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half... empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz. She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed incapable of doing anything." It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night. You may or may not have heard me speak the other day about our newest partners in our business and that we now have a DNA Health Test. ... What does that mean We now can get an internal blue print of how your body works!!!! So we can see what nutrients we don’t store well, what we do well at storing, what kind of foods work well in our system & what doesn’t, what king of movement works best in our body’s, what doesn’t... and more... Bonus, at the end I can have a personalised meal plans sent to me every week, in conjunction with the results No brainer So personally for me, I love this, I’m not one for being super organised and this will just take out the guessing game on what I need to do to help my 40-ish old body, be the best it can be.. Also, it will take away some of the stress associated to the back and forth game oh should I eat that, no better not, oh but I like it, Nar but not sure if it likes me... And I’ll know what I’m eating in advance, no more what are we going to have for dinner??? You know I’m a big advocate that everyone is different, no two people are the same. Now we can test what makes you different & work literally with your individually systems to get the most out of what you do in life. In raising awareness for Mental Health and fundraising for HeadSpace, to help others through this new stage of living. Some of us are thriving, but others may not be. So in my beliefs, as a team, no one gets left behind or left out! These awesome humans have put their hands up to do there bit as well! They will complete as many as they can per day, and as a TEAM we will target our daily number. There is no pressure to the same, we are all on different levels, but we must do what we can each day! By Saturday arvo I was in tears watching the nation burning up and the detestation it has caused.
