25.01.2022 Currently Social Bowls is still allowed under the Stage 3 COVID-19 Restrictions as long as everyone adheres to the rules which are; - social distancing rules apply - all players must wear a mask - 10 bowlers only on the green - 2 bowlers only per rink... - no spectators allowed - jacks & mats must not be shared and only handled by one person, and must be cleaned and disinfected before and after use. Make sure you book a place by calling either Bob on 0447 830 655 or Chris on 51562569 Happy Bowling!

20.01.2022 Another great Social Bowls day today at our little club. Surprisingly the rain stayed away and we had a few moments of sunshine. Congrats to Rich, Clint, Cameron & Alan on taking out the win. Come on down on Thursdays & Sundays for a great day, enjoying a drink and lots of laughs.

18.01.2022 Great turnout last night for the first Bowls/BBQ/Beers night at the club. Members, visitors and a few familiar faces came along to support the club which was fantastic. Keep an eye out for more Friday Night action at the club soon.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Attila Sofran for winning the Final of the EGBD Mens Single Novice Championship. Great game between the two Metung Bowls Club members, Attila & Alan. Well played Alan Burgess. Attila will now progress to the next round of the Mens Single Novice Championship, details to follow. Well done to all bowlers.

12.01.2022 Our page has been pretty quite over the last few weeks just waiting to see what will happen with COVID-19. Very happy to see that we can return to normal (Covid Normal anyway). Lets hope it continues. Social bowls is now back to our usual setup and we look forward to seeing you all there.

Also, a big shout out to Al & Ann for working the bar, Mandy and Jim for their work in the kitchen, Barbs and Richard for taking some photos and Cam belting out a tune. 12.01.2022 Update as per Bowls Vic ( ) New directions commence at . . Excerpt from State Government Summary of Restrictions Move to Stage 3:... Outdoor sport: only allowed to exercise, or activities such as fishing, golf, boating, tennis, surfing with one other person or household members, provided 1.5 metre distance can be maintained. Outdoor sporting facilities: closed, except for facilities where public gathering and physical distancing limits can be adhered to and there is no use of shared equipment or communal facilities (e.g. tennis courts, golf courses). Under Stage 3 restrictions all club competitions must cease, however rolls up can continue if the above, and previously advised Stage 3 restrictions (2 per rink, 10 per green, 1.5m distancing), are strictly adhered to. Clubs must have Council approval to be open (if on Council land) and a Return to Play document that addresses all Stage 3 restrictions. 11.01.2022 Metung Bowls Club has the pleasure of hosting the State Novice Competition for our region this year with the finals happening today. Great morning for the men this morning with 2 Metung members winning their games and heading into the stage 1 Final which will be played this afternoon. Congratulations to Attila Sofran & Alan Burgess and good luck in the final today.

11.01.2022 Metung Bowls Club, will be hosting a live music night on Friday 14th of May. Drinks will kick off at 4 pm and the Duo, 2 IN THE DITCH, will be preforming live 60's 70's 80's music. Come and have a roll, and after that bring your dance shoes and dance the night away.
