23.01.2022 NOVEMBER 13, 2020 The Victorian Fisheries Authority’s Golden Tag competition is back and better than ever providing fishers opportunities to reel in a winner across the state. The competition aims to boost tourism to regional Victoria to support regional towns and businesses. After months of lockdown, we know Victorian’s are eager to wet a line. Now is the perfect time to plan a fishing trip and support Victoria’s recovery.... There are more than 1,000 fish released as part of the Golden tag competition. Approximately, 950 fish have already been released at $2,000 each. More than 20 new fish worth $10,000 each and an extra 50 fish worth $2,000 will be released. The competition has been expanded to include: Gippsland (Marlo, Bemm River, Tamboon Inlet, Lakes Tyers, Gippsland Lakes and Mallacoota)

14.01.2022 Interesting letter we received from The Lakes Entrance Fisherman's CoOp yesterday (see attached). We have had a couple of complaints re the variable size of our flatty tails from some customers. Can't imagine the stress this puts on the commercial fishers. We will continue to serve flatty tails but please be aware.
