25.01.2022 Congratulations to Peter Bull who was granted MYC Life Membership at our recent AGM. 58 years of active MYC membership 1962 2020 Peter became a member of the Metung Yacht Club Juniors in 1962 and became a full member of the Yacht Club when of senior membership age. 13.01.2022 MYC Junior Squad recently donated some old cadets to both Nungurner and Metung Primary Schools for playground use and/or a cute garden bed. The NPS kids have already been playing pirates on the blue cadet. The green & orange cadet is getting a spruce up before it docks at MPS. With most of our Junior Sailors coming from these 2 local primary schools it is fantastic to know these cadets will be loved once again

10.01.2022 The ICCA committee met recently and were excited to hear that Fleet 6 (Vic) are working hard to ensure a Nationals level event can take place early next year. P...rovisional dates are 12-16 April 2021 (in line with SA/Tas/Vic school holidays). The venue is being given much consideration by the 6th Fleet committee, and will be announced before Christmas. 10.01.2022 Planning has started for the 2021 Keeley Marine Supplies MPONR. For many, the last time we went sailing was in the 2020 MPONR. So we are hoping that the 2021 ra...ce will be one to reunite us all after a long lockdown and stresses of 2020. Bring on 2021. Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions will be available closer to the race. At the latest January. We are all hopeful that we will be able to conduct the event as scheduled and are busy developing COVID Plans if needed to proceed.

02.01.2022 On Remembrance Day 2018 our MYC Junior Squad sailed around to Lake King dropped their sails and raised 'Lest we Forget' poppy flags in view of the Metung RSL that was full of people after the service on the Village Green. A great mark of respect. Lest we forget.
