23.01.2022 The cladding is going up. Our vinegar/steel wool stain will start out very dark and then fingers crossed fade to grey. Deck framing is complete, windows and doors not far away. @ Flowerpot
22.01.2022 We have raised the irrigation wire in the old vineyard to allow room for the undervine mower. Clipping the dripper line back on is the last painful bit. Good work @lukeaandree this week. The new addition to the team was not helping.

15.01.2022 It’s been a big week. The roofing structure is on. Amazingly between the boys from Carey Welding, 2H Constructions and Rueben from Siege Cranes it all went together in 2 days. Cladding not far away.

13.01.2022 All new Hughes&Hughes 2020 Syrah $37 Fruit from vineyards in the Coal River, Derwent and the d’Entrecasteaux Channel. Predominantly whole berry, 5% whole bunch, natural yeast, held on skins for 21 days while getting gently pumped over once a day while the ferment was most active (4-5 times in total). Pressed directly to and matured in oak (15% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Alc - 13.0% 2448 bottles produced without fining or filtration

05.01.2022 The scaffolding is down and the roof went on just in time to be tested by what was a very wet start to the week. The cladding has arrived so hopefully we’ll start to transform the big concrete box into something a little more subtle shortly. We’ve brewed 200 litres of white vinegar with steel wool over 6 weeks to stain our Tas Oak cladding. Fingers crossed @ Flowerpot

01.01.2022 New Release 2020 hughes&hughes pied de cuve pinot noir $48 - d’Entrecasteaux Channel, Tasmania Fruit from a single vineyard in the d’Entrecasteaux Channel (tinderbox). A natural yeast starter was prepared in the vineyard a week prior to harvest, it was placed at the ‘foot of the tank’ (translation) and covered with 40% whole bunches with the balance whole berries. After 18 days with minimal pump overs it was pressed to and matured in oak for ten months (35% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
