17.01.2022 I recently signed up for Spriggy for my two boys. Why? To teach them about savings, the value of money and ownership. Do you get those million questions when you go out shopping or looking through the gaming market-places: "Can you buy this mummy?", "Can I have this?", "I need this, I've loved it my whole life and need it, I would ask for anything ever again".... Having a Spriggy card allows them to earn money (either by doing Family Team Tasks, or just because:) gives them ownership over what they buy and when and if they save or spend. Control and learning about the value of money can never start too early. Here is a code to get yours: http://get.sprig.gy/w/JESSP277 (code also in bio)

14.01.2022 New self care trial product Whether it is within the therapy room or at drop and pick up, the parents I’m talking with alongside their gorgeous kiddos are reporting: - school refusal - morning challenges with getting the kids to school because their anxiety is so high... - bigger movements of overwhelm...aka meltdowns, tantrums at home and on the weekends - tears or physical expressions of exhaustion and anger...aka tiredness from self regulating all day at school so challenging behaviours at home Not an uncommon occurrence when returning to school. The amount of change our kids go through when going back after holidays is a lot. We can forget or ignore this. New teacher. New classmates. New routines. New stuff to learn. New expectations. I’m using the beautifully crafted and formulated Drew Dingo Blend by @simmi.thearomatherapist. Drew Dingo is one of the characters from the Me You We Tribe who helps our families learn about being adaptable and skills to cope with change. These are filled with Himalayan pink rock salt and Drew’s essential oil Tribe blend. I’ve made up these two for two smart, strong and perfectly attuned girls who are struggling with their anxiety and adaptability with all the school changes. Drew’s blend is aromatherapy to calm the mind and nervous system + Himalayan Rock salt which helps with stress, anxiety and fatigue (among much more) = Get in every school bag ;) so our kids feel empowered to get through their school day with less anxiety and are able to cope better with all the changes.

11.01.2022 Family emergency happening atm will see me working less hours over this busy period. I will return to my regular hours ASAP as I know there is a lot of struggle, hurt, pain and unease happening for a lot of you. In the meanwhile, run yourselves a bath, light a candle or do whatever nourishes you. Bath and candle are happening for me tonight. #mentalhealth #family #struggle #care #bethereforeachother A advent calendar candle from @thespiritualtoolbox and one of the Me You We Tribe essential oil blends in the bath to soak away the concerns. @simmi.thearomatherapist

10.01.2022 Cherishing the bubbles of care and love and bruises that 2020 has brought. There have been highs, lows but most importantly lessons from the year that was 2020. What have you learnt about you? For me: how to surrender, connect and care for my inner littles and connect and care for other people’s inner littles, my strength, the power within my vulnerability and a pure true love. ... It hasn’t been an easy year as for many of you. Like all parenting moments for me, it is about learning and teaching moments. I look for the learning in the trauma (family legal system, DV, cancer) . I look for the missing skills within myself when interacting with people who challenge me. Or when I need to maintain healthy, respectful, loving boundaries with people who continually cross them, even when that is challenging and uncomfortable. What lessons and learning have you gained about yourself in 2020? And as the second question from within the bath cake - what’s the happiest experience today? #2020 #2021 #lessonslearnedinlife #selfcare #challenge #love

10.01.2022 How do you honour kids mental health? How do you honour yourself with your kids? Sharing a love of mine with them, in conjunction with a mental health day off school for them.... We went to the Mind Body Spirit Festival on a calmer day, a choice and decision a mum of a autistic super child has to understand. We’ve been dealing with the big C from a very loved daily member. A man my boys call a God. So after many times of taking them to school when they’ve been asking for a day off. Today I honoured their need for fun, calm, refreshing, refuelling, space and time. We took our time. We didn’t rush. We played. We eat ice-cream. We sung awfully and loud in the car. We smiled. We laughed. We reconnected. #kids #mentalhealthdays #mentalhealth #cancer #mbs #mindbodyspiritfestival #crystals #candles #cityfun

08.01.2022 Christmas has arrived at the office

06.01.2022 How’s your Friday going after the first week back at school? Mine has been indulging in childhood joys. Playing and creating with things that make my heart happy. This week at school has been a relief and not for the initial reasons you’d think. School has been a roller coaster and this year we’ve started off so well. While it’s only been one week, I’m taking it. I’m taking the time today to stop and think about all my boys and I have achieved in the last year. ... Honouring us today by honouring my inner littles with creative playfulness by making two different smelling incense (calm and mental clarity) and some bath gorgeousness...self love (already assigned to one glorious woman), confidence, calm and grounding. A couple of handfuls for self care when feeling overwhelmed, stressed or for no reason at all #school #honour #reparenting #parenting #bath #incense #childhood #care

05.01.2022 This week between Christmas and New Year can often see our Instagram and Facebook pages flooded with New Year resolutions or comments upon the year that was and the year that is coming. I urge you to stop even for a moment and do neither. But rather to . Be in this moment with yourself and those around you. Go-create those moments. Stop the prolonging of the past, by ruminating upon hurts and pains. Stop beckon the future, which often at this time looks like giving resolutio...ns that end up with lashings of shame when they aren’t achieved. While yes we need to learn lessons from our past and plan our future. This moment is all you actually have. Be in that. Delight in that. Feel and give love in that. Gratitude for co-creating these moments with me as you’ve read this. #newyear #newbeginnings #newyear2021 #bepresent #lovenow #familytime #engagedparentinting

03.01.2022 Self care Friday @micro_man_ One of the techniques we’ve implemented to help with separation anxiety is by drawing an infinite sign of each of us. When we are apart and they are struggling with the anxiety voice yelling at them, they would look at the infinite sign and know mummy was sending them love and we are always together.... #tattoo #fineart #selfcare #anxiety #separationanxiety

02.01.2022 Within couples therapy whether it be with dating, engaged or couples with a long history, the topic of sexual intimacy is important. Often, especially the beautifully young couples will talk about google searching Yes, No and Maybe lists. I think it's important to add 'consent to give' and 'consent to receive' and a no. We need to think about what we can receive and what we can give to our partner. Beyond just a yes, no and maybe. Another catch phrase for you:)... "Don't yuck someones yum and yum someones yuck" Enjoy creating the list either by yourself (to share with your partner) or create the list together.
