I can only imagine how devastated many of you are feeling at the moment having had to postpone your Wedding Day...most of you would have spend countless hours organising the day and like most of us are wondering wtf just happened :)... On a positive side it wont be long before you can have your day again without restrictions.. We are currently taking bookings toward the end of 2020 and into 2021. 23.01.2022 I had a great day yesterday with a couple of lovely people..Chris and Kelly and the whole Bridal party were up for lots of fun. Driftwood Blue Floral Events, styling and floral specialists for Weddings.

23.01.2022 This week having a look at the tradition of the Wedding Cake.... The ancient Romans began the tradition when a wheat or barley cake was broken over the bride`s head for luck and fertility...(i dont think they actually hit her over the head...) The new husband and wife would eat a few crumbs together as one of their first unified acts as a married couple...:)

By the medieval times the Brits stopped with the plain wheat cake and starting stacking spiced buns, scones, and cookies as high as possible...hence the tiered cakes we have today... 20.01.2022 First photo for this years Milky Way season...not ideal conditions with the moon tending to wash out the Milky Way a little but it was just good to get out again with the camera ...

19.01.2022 Continuing with our theme of Wedding Cakes for this week I thought I would share this cake recipe ...thanks to Readers Digest for this..;) The first known official wedding confection comes from a 1685 recipe for Brides Pye: Pastry crust filled an assortment of oysters, lamb testicles, throat, rooster comb, and pine kernels...mmmm sounds great but i am on a diet this week so no thanks!

07.01.2022 A couple of quick long exposure images taken at Middleton Beach today around lunch time...i say quick because the middle of the day is not really the best time for a long exposure shot and because it was freezing cold on the beach:)
