24.01.2022 Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic start to 2019! Sparse posting, but here's the latest: our first born, Beau (Bellario/Routinier), has had busy few weeks already. He has entertained, being the one who loves to be admired by visitors (thank you, Tetsuko-san and family for visiting and grooming Beau!), and we also had our very first lesson together with my BHS Fellow/EA L3 coach, Sandra Pearson-Adams. Thank you, Sandra, for being the second person to ever ride Beau (!), and look forward to your expert help in taking him to that next level.

21.01.2022 Hope everyone is keeping safe! Our very first post since the fires in November. The farm has since been flooded, had swarming insects and now we all need to do our bit to ‘flatten the curve’ of the dreaded COVID. But with a bit of sun out, we have been making the most of it by forging ahead with post-fire recovery/enhancement projects. Many thanks to those who are hard at work on the farm.

20.01.2022 And we have a foal! Introducing MF Pramada, a tall filly by Prestige VDL (imp) out of a dam carrying Ex Libris/Donnerhall lines born 3 Oct. Unique bling with 3 stockings, a broad blaze plus a super cute set of ears! Paddock name TBA. She will be retained by the stud as future performance/breeding prospect.

20.01.2022 Ella (dark brown, Raphael/ExLibris) in foal to Prestige VDL is just entering her third trimester. In preparation, she has been teamed up with Tango, her best mate and super nanny. Both very happy

14.01.2022 The ‘foals’ are already half way through their yearling stage. How quickly time passes. Bodie (Bellario/Superman/Rotspon) has grown much taller/bigger than expected and is truly filling his 5’9 rug. Esky (Versace/Routinier) is now the one catching up and is still fawn-like .

12.01.2022 Photos taken today during the trims. The ‘foals’ (nearly 2 years old now!) love Jim, their trimmer since birth, and follows him around everywhere. Holly is currently working as their paddock auntie and shows how it’s done

10.01.2022 Happy Easter! We made it overseas thanks to the kindness of our Sydney friend/student who volunteered to help look after the farm. Already the second last day of our trip in Japan. It’s nice to see that horses have a universal language (carrots being no.1!) regardless of where they are in the world.

08.01.2022 We raise our youngsters with much care and love (+carrots), but the downside is that they never miss an opportunity to come and say hello so hard to take decent photos. Our 2.5 yr olds are doing well - Bodie (by Bellario) is already 16hh and is a big red with full mane and tail. Esky (by Versace) is long legged dainty beauty who expects to be treated like royalty. We always end up scrunched up together for a selfie .

07.01.2022 Thank you for all the messages and emails enquiring after us. It has been devastating few days in Nana Glen with our street making the national bush fire headlines. Yesterday afternoon, the fire swiftly tore through our street. Lucky that we heeded the evacuation notice when we did. Someone above was looking after us: all horses and chickens(!) accounted for. Moreover, despite living in a dense grove of gum trees, our home and cottage remained intact. We thank the excellent work by the local RFS and all of our neighbours who bravely stayed on and remained vigilant while the fires were being put out. Extremely sad for those who lost their homes. May our street rise again proud from the ashes.

06.01.2022 More post: Ella (Raphael/ExLibris) is confirmed 10 weeks pregnant to Prestige VDL. Not only is Ella a super mover with lots of power and cadence, but she also happens to be my personal favourite. All going well, we will hopefully see a foal later this year.

05.01.2022 In the meanwhile, Piah (sire:Prestige VDL) is enjoying the autumn cool. Almost 7 months old and still gangly, she is currently undergoing gradual weaning. She is casual about being on her own for the morning, but then can’t get enough of her mum when back together .

04.01.2022 Just under 5 weeks to go, Ella (Raphael/ExLibris) in foal to Prestige VDL is glowing in late pregnancy.

04.01.2022 We are finally getting some rain. The heavens reserved the heaviest showers for feed time (of course!) but even those that remained un-rugged seemed to enjoy a bit of wet.
