24.01.2022 Open for business Look forward to seeing you all soon

22.01.2022 Posture How is your posture right now? Postural stresses to the body can cause enormous strain on our musculoskeletal system. This strain then impacts on our ability to exercise and participate in daily living activities! ... Muscles in the front of you become shortened and the muscles in the back become tight, sore and tired, due to fighting against gravity. This distortion then stops you from moving freely and breathing easily! Thanks to Neurologist Bruegger, here are some simple tips to get some relief... *In a slumped sitting position - roll your pelvis forward - roll your back upwards - roll your head and neck upwards, tuck your chin in - bring your shoulder blades down - turn the palms of your hands to face forwards. Hold this position and take a few deep belly breaths. Try to perform these simple exercises several times throughout the day

22.01.2022 Once again it comes down to basic hygiene.... cough, sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your elbow. Throw the tissue in the bin.....wash hands with soap!! If you feel unwell, stay home. Take action now.

22.01.2022 Massage Therapy is back in business!!!!! Yessssss!!!! There is a little bit of red tape for home based businesses to clarify before I can resume booking appointments. Please be patient, my association is working this out with the DHHS. Stay tuned I am sure it will be sorted out very quickly.

20.01.2022 Same goes for elbows! My elbows and knees click/crack all the time, always have and probably always will. If there is no pain then there usually is no concern. Keep self treating or getting regular treatment for your soft tissues and keep active

20.01.2022 Here we go again!! Unfortunately I have to stop seeing clients again for the next 6 weeks, due to Covid-19 Stage 4 restrictions. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns about any aches or pains, and I will try to advise you or point you in the right direction. Let's all do our bit to stay safe and get through these strange times. In the mean time I will continue with some further studies and rest my hands and sharpen my elbows for when I can get back into action Hang in there, stay strong and I look forward to treating you all again very soon.

18.01.2022 What does one do in Lockdown.... well that's easy... keep on educating yourself. Recovery of the body and mind is a key element in maintaining our athletic abilities. I look forward in being able to utilise this knowledge once I am allowed to resume practice.

18.01.2022 You can be sure this wont happen when you come to see me......... but it's pretty funny

17.01.2022 So over the weekend I put myself right out of my comfort zone to learn a very valuable new modality for my practice! Dry Needling!!!! It was a roller coaster of a ride for 2 and half days. From being too nervous to stick a needle into someone on the first day to laughing and enjoying the process by day 3....... can’t thank the ACE team and my fellow therapists that allowed me to learn with them. So happy to have the opportunity to keep up skilling and learning.

17.01.2022 Too many good reasons not to do it!!

12.01.2022 Myofascial Cupping...... Myofascial cupping is a modality I often incorporate into my remedial massage treatments. It is a simple effective and generally pain free treatment that is enjoyed by my clients and myself. The cups decompress the soft tissues that are lifted up inside them. Assisting in the reduction of localised inflammation and aids recovery by increasing nutrient rich blood to the injured area. Boosting the hydration levels to the connective tissues. Myofascial ...cupping helps lift and seperate fascia, which is a spider like soft tissue that is wrapped around our muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, nerves, blood vessels and organs. Injuries and overuse of our muscles can form adhesions to our soft tissue network. Which then can lead to a loss of flexibility and areas of the body becoming tight and restricted. Myofascial cupping has many benefits... * It can decrease our sympathetic nervous system. * It passively stretches our soft tissues. * It decreases the discomfort of pain for the client. * You receive great results without having painful deep tissue work. * It can help decrease scar tissue. * Increase range of movement to burn victims. * Decrease adhesions, tight stiff muscles. * Decrease inflammation. * Help create an emotional balance, eg. anxiety, stress, headaches. 11.01.2022 It is with great sadness, that as of midnight last night I have had to close the doors to my business, due to government decisions concerning the CoronaVirus. I will miss treating all of my amazing and supportive clients. The joy I feel in knowing that I am helping you become pain free and able to effectively and efficiently move your body is by far the greatest feeling ever!! Do not fear, I have not given up...... I will use this time away from the table to dive into some f...antastic online courses to keep my mind active and increase my skill set! So when I am given the all clear to start treating again, I will be ready and waiting to deliver my new knowledge to gain even more amazing results!!! Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns and not sure what to do. Remember to think before you touch and keep washing your hands!!! Get on the foam roller each day to do a bit of self myofascial massage!! Stay Safe

07.01.2022 I was hoping to have a little celebration today, but unfortunately there are NO CHANGES to the current rules for non AHPRA registered practitioners at this time. This means we all have to wait another couple of weeks before massage treatments can hopefully begin on Nov 1st I will most certainly let you all know if this date gets brought forward. Stay safe and stay positive, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter!

03.01.2022 https://news.australiannaturaltherapistsassociation.com.au/ It is with great joy to let everyone know my doors are officially open!!!!! Woo Hoo!!! I am starting treatment sessions at a reduced time 30 or 45min to accommodate social distance rules and thorough cleaning in between clients. ... Please be mindful about your health and do not book in for a treatment if you display any mild cold and flu like symptoms. I look forward to seeing you all again and helping you move efficiently and effectively.
