18.01.2022 At this time of isolation, this is a course to allow you to take time for yourself. It’s about finding ways to care for yourself, so in turn, you are able to be the best parent you can be too. I certainly enjoyed taking part, learning some mindfulness skills and chatting with and meeting some lovely parents via zoom (and the comfort of your own lounge... and maybe ugg boots )! 15.01.2022 Thanks Dr Ang for keeping it real..incidental maths over time sure adds up...as does positive attitude modelling. It doesn’t have to be difficult; just watch out for the chance to chat maths in real life! A few seconds here and there...it can honestly change everything by just starting young. We’ve used these ideas at home - how to change the tv channel (ask them to change the channel to ‘two hundred and four’), read speed signs, notice what page we are up to in the book we’re reading, read the footy scores, count forwards and backwards in the car, talk about money- show them notes and coins and read the numbers and count. Keep an eye out for our exciting new children’s bedroom wall decals, which are designed for this very reason! Bedtime maths chat...along side nightly bedtime story

01.01.2022 When it’s time for your own daughter to start using her own Mfacts121 account! We created Mfacts121 back in 2016, as a thorough way to learn and teach multiplication and division facts. That was way back when this little lady was only 3 years old...and now it’s time for Sienna to get involved! Creating Mfacts121 as an online platform has been epically challenging. And we really do thank all the schools, teachers and students who have supported us over these years. It’s no...t been easy to keep this going! From the kind teachers who helped us trial it and iron out tech glitches to the students who’ve given us cool ideas that we can add to the program! The reason we have stuck with it, is that there’s nothing else like it. Learning multiplication throughly requires much more than just practising times tables online. It must be backed with mathematical thinking, flexible strategies and deep understandings. And it’s absolutely key in Year 3-6!
