24.01.2022 What's stopping you? How many aches, pains and niggles are you putting up with? How many times have you put off what you know you shouldn’t? So many of us plan to make a change, start something new, focus on a goal, achieve something or take a step towards better health or a fitter, stronger body... but then life happens and it’s closely followed by an excuse. All of a sudden we shelve the plan and tell ourselves that we will start next week. Or we are waiting for the right ...time or the right conditions. You want the truth? There is never a "perfect" time. There will never be perfect conditions. Time to flip your thinking and change your perception of perfect. Don't wait for the perfect time - it will never come. Don’t wait for another excuse or hurdle to put an end to your plan before it even starts. Perhaps it is really just avoidance, or an excuse? Don’t allow yourself to make up reasons why you can’t. Instead tell yourself why you can! Search for the reasons why you should, and Need to start right now! The truth is, YOU are the only thing that stands in your way. Make the plan. Take the action. Take a step, however small, and just watch as you build momentum. Soon enough you will start to ask yourself why you waited so long.

It will keep you coming back over and over and create the habit you need to get the results you want! ... The people, the community, your family... all added bonuses!

20.01.2022 Ditch the ALL -or- NOTHING mentality! One bad meal didn’t get you where you are, one missed workout didn’t get you where you are. Its probably months or even years of repeated bad habits that may have got you out of shape or not feeling your best. So when you don’t have time to do a complete workout go for a quick walk instead. ... When you overindulge at lunch or for a weekend reset and just watch your calories for the next week of days to make it up! Start small. Little changes lead to big results.

16.01.2022 Hands up if you agree... I’m fairly sure this year was supposed to be different! New Year’s Eve 2019 was full of promises, new resolutions to be fulfilled. A clean slate and new goals for the year ahead. Enter the GLOBAL PANDEMIC! The universe threw every obstacle, lots of curve balls, made us jump every hurdle and navigate unchartered territory with no end in sight and no light at the end of the tunnel. We are unbelievably proud of all of you, our MFIIT family, having not... only survived this year but emerging stronger through it all. We have felt so supported and we have watched your friendships grow as you lifted each other up. Although you survived a lot of the the year apart, we watched you become so united! Now it’s almost December.. If there is a take away from 2020 it would have to be, not to wait for the new year! It’s time to make the changes you need and get the results you want. This year proved that we should never wait for a sign, a date, a new year. Start now, Start today. We are here for you and our MFIIT family are ready and waiting to support you in your journey! 16.01.2022 Focus on the positive! Only had 20 minutes to work out? Better than no work out. Ate a bar of chocolate? Better than the block. Only got 3000 steps today? Better than none.... Only drank a glass of water today? Better than nothing. Just make it the plan to Do Better Tomorrow!



16.01.2022 Happiness comes when you feel strong, healthy and fit enough to do anything you want to do. When you have the confidence to wear ‘that’ dress ‘those’ jeans or even a bikini! When running around with the kids is no problem. When an over indulgent weekend doesn’t mean the end of the earth.... Find an exercise routine that makes you happy. Life is short, make it fun!

Enthusiasm is contagious and inspiration is powerful. So find your squad and keep them in your corner. Make the choice to have positivity in your life everyday.

16.01.2022 Even if we all ate the same and exercised the same our bodies will all still be different! So embrace your differences and appreciate that your goals will never and should never match someone else’s goals. Do it for you!

15.01.2022 Motivation is not always easy to maintain. Sometimes we make grand plans in the present when things are easy or we are feeling inspired and lose it all when things become hard or life gets in the way. There are lots of strategies we can employ to maintain motivation or rather stay disciplined through those times we are not feeling it. The more disciplined we are the more likely you are to stick to your goals. ... A really visually powerful way to stay motivated when it comes to creating a new habit is to get a wall calendar with a whole quarter or even year on it. Then everyday you complete your new habit, whether that be a workout, getting to 10,000 steps, tracking your food... put a big red X over that day. After a few days you will have a chain. Just keep at it and the chain will grow longer every day. Your only job next is to not break the chain! If you do miss a day, make a note of how long your chain ran for. Then start a new one and try and make the next one longer than the last.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to our Challenge MVP Di Carroll I couldn’t have asked for a better photo for this post! Di does our group classes and has also done PT with Matt for years. ... When I first met Di she had shoulder, knee and back problems, and I suppose was at the beginning of her journey to becoming the strong, healthy and amazing woman she is today who gives 100% at every session. Di has shed over 20 kilos & increased her muscle mass. Strengthened around her joints and I’ve witnessed her run 4km without stopping. She is a true testament to the changes we can make when we put in the work! When Di trains with Matt twice a week I wait to hear the, how shall I put this friendly banter at each session and they never disappoint. Frustration levels escalate as the session progresses and there is always the contest for the last word after each set. But all jokes aside, the mutual respect is evident. With Matt’s patience and commitment to Di’s health and fitness, along with her hard work and dedication Di has truly changed her life and health for the better and we couldn’t be more proud!

12.01.2022 Change the way you view your week! Don’t plan day by day because things always come up and it’s easy to forget the plan when life takes over. Instead try and find a balance through the week that will see you maintain a flexible schedule! Inconsistency and lack of structure are two of the biggest barriers to reaching fitness goals. ... So start with a plan. This might be 3 classes a week, a walk around the block, 2 litres of water a day or 5 healthy prepared lunches! Pick one and aim to be as consistent as possible! Small changes = Big results! And never miss a Monday

Create healthy habits and stay consistent in your training and watch as your body transforms into a leaner, stronger and fitter you!... Amanda lost 4 kilos all fat! And Increased her muscle mass! She looks leaner but is stronger and fitter than ever before and feels healthy, confident and amazing. We are proud of her effort and results!

11.01.2022 Who’s your inspiration? Who gives you the little push that helps you keep going? Having a training partner can make all the difference and we have watched our MFIIT family teaching their kids that training is a normal part of life! We’ve all been there. Alarm set Wednesday night.. and come Thursday morning you wake and instantly hit the snooze button. ... We talk about how training isn’t about working as hard as you can, but about consistency. So instead of being tempted with the thought of a few more minutes sleep or skipping training all together. Get up! Show up! And show those that matter how to be the best they can be!

10.01.2022 How do you find balance amongst the disorder and chaos of life? Just like your physical self needs to rest & recover so does your mind! Recharge your mental well-being so you can be the best version of yourself! Read, walk, meditate or find ways to check out and recenter. You will feel better and find you will be able to give to what you want to achieve!

09.01.2022 With New Years literally around the corner let’s talk resolutions! After such a tumultuous year there are so many of us ready to see the back of it! But when midnight clocks over on Friday 1st 2021 it marks the start of a new year full of promise... ....... BUT What Really Changes?... Most of us have lived through an incredibly different year than normal. Working from home, or not working, homeschooling, drinking more, exercising less and fitting in life with your whole family at home while they are fitting in theirs as well. It has not been ideal and has actually been really tough for a lot of us... but there is nothing miraculous that is going to happen as the clock strikes 12am Friday morning! Resolutions for us are such a promise of what we want to achieve! So our challenge to you is to flip the switch on the resolutions this year and instead of focusing on the end goal.. make one or two behavioural promises that will see you start to head in the right direction. Try to remember that you don’t have to overhaul your entire life to see the changes you want to feel happier, healthier and better. Exercise has so many benefits and should be something that is incorporated into your daily life so start small! A daily walk around the block. An extra class at the gym. Find coaches that motivate you and love cheering your success. Focus on making little changes and just keep going!

07.01.2022 What a year it has been for all of us! We are so grateful for the continued support from our MFIIT family that has seen us power through everything 2020 gave us! We faced every setback head on and we watched our community, our family go from strength to strength! Smashing goals and getting great results. Isolation for us as a community and as coaches was tough. We were so used to seeing you all on a daily basis! So to be able to provide online and virtual training to you all... felt to us, like a great success. It gave so many of you a lifeline though such a challenging period and maintained some normalcy in our lives. So with all that we learned this year we have some amazing things planned for 2021 that we can’t wait to share with you! As well as all the usual fun laughter and dancing that goes on! We will continue to focus on your health and fitness and provide all the support you need, to teach you and give you every tool to be the best you can be!
