24.01.2022 Fair Work finds hundreds underpaid and high non-compliance in Soul Origin franchise network. - Their investigation is ongoing. Maddison Johnstone and I saw the red flags a few years ago, so we decided to tip-off the regulator. The reality is that Fair Work have limited resources and large franchise networks that underpay are crafty. 15.01.2022 Imagine this... Someone buys land next door to you. By law they can build a single level home. You learn they want to build a high-rise apartment block. Surrounding neighbours would be impacted.... The proposed building will block the sun and surrounding views. There will be more traffic in your quiet street creating safety issues for neighbourhood children. There will not be enough parking. Property values will go down. Construction will last over a year. You take comfort that they can't build as the law doesn't permit them to. You notice local members posing for photos with your new neighbour at fundraisers. Then, as if by magic, the government quietly changes the law allowing high-rises to be built in your area. 14.01.2022 Since 2015, Maddison Johnstone and I have been trying to draw attention to Transurban's plan to toll ALL roads, or at least most in Australia. A few journalists thought we were conspiracy theorists, but when government acknowledged interest in the plan, they realised it is no conspiracy. In 2016, a Transurban presentation pitches the concept of implementing a User Pay system. A 'fairer' system. Don't get me started on how their surveys were conducted to show overwhelming supp...ort from the community for this idea. It starts to get a little scary when they introduce the idea of a "National Enforcement Framework". They don't say it will be them, but question how you would feel about Transurban having their own private national police force. It will also be likely that in addition to paying around 10 cents per kilometre, when traffic builds in areas - including your quiet suburb - an auto congestion charge might be applicable and it is likely to be dollars, not cents. Don't like being tracked? Well you will need to have a GPS tracking device installed in your car. It will almost certainly be a legal requirement. Tamper with it and it will likely be an offence. A large bump in the road may trigger an infringement for 'tampering'. #ESG #investing

So basically the $40 billion dollar toll road giant Transurban want to toll nearly all the roads in Australia, charge you through the nose to drive and dump a giant amount of contaminated soil near a school in Bacchus Marsh Victoria. This rally is to stop the dumping of contaminated soil in Bacchus Marsh and that may not affect you. But in a month ...they could be proposing a toll road in your area. You also probably don't want glow in the dark veggies coming out of Victoria to your local Woolies either. Support them now and if the rally goes well you won't need them to help you later.
