21.01.2022 Keeping you up-to-date with what's happening @ MGC - Karen Money, 4th Principal, taking 3 terms off to help the Region. Her letter to Parents and the Community: Dear Members of the MGC Community, After over 5 years as principal of our exemplary Melbourne Girls College I will be taking on an acting position as a Senior Education Improvement Leader for terms two to four 2020 with the Department of Education and Training.... Our very experienced and stable team will continue their exemplary work in learning, leadership, STEAM, Visible Wellbeing and community engagement. 16.01.2022 Great to see lots of chat about our 25th Celebration - but now it is time to buy your tickets at www.trybooking.com/BDSVS Looking forward to seeing you there - come see the changes and catch up with some friends from the past!

16.01.2022 Catching up with alumni is always fun; hearing great insight about work/life balance with this adorable visual reminder was priceless! Annie McClennon, MGC 2008, and her 6 month old daughter, Lottie, joined us for a career pathway session sharing her story and advice with MGC students. You can work hard to realize the dream you had as a young child and become a paediatrician - you may have to circumvent some obstacles along the way, rely on the lifelong friends you made in ...secondary school, and practice self care in the form of exercise or relaxation to help get you there, but you CAN get there! And once you do, make sure you have a well rounded life full of family, friends and activities you enjoy outside of work as well. That's one piece of advice we learned from Annie; she also shared her knowledge about jobs in healthcare for those not inclined to take the traditional doctor/nurse route. Alumni are relatable, relevant and inspirational! Thank you, Annie! If you are an MGC alum or know an alum who hasn't connected with our Alumni Program yet, please email us at [email protected] We love hearing from alumni! See more

16.01.2022 Keeping you up to date with all of the MGC world. Principal, Ms Money, is off to the Region. Acting Principal for Terms 2-4, 2020 (the year of the virus) is Mr Brent Houghton, congrats. Everything cancelled, including Aths Sports, formals, camps, casts, HOSG Regatta and even face-to-face schooling. It is an interesting world we now live in. We hope you all stay safe, keep your distance physically and look after each other. Make that phone call, do a Skype or Zoom or FaceTime or something to family or someone you know, especially those who you haven't seen for a while. Take care and call us if you need anything.
