09.01.2022 We’ve reached new heights at Werribee Street Six Victorian-made bridge beams known as L-Beams have been lifted into place over the road to form the n...ew rail bridge over Werribee Street. These beams weigh a whopping 130 tonnes each and were cast in Kilmore. Crews will continue to work around the clock to finish installing the remaining 54 beams and complete works on the retaining walls at each end of the new kilometre-long rail bridge. Removing the Werribee Street level crossing will improve travel for 20,000 vehicles that travel through the crossing daily.
