24.01.2022 The Avopiling Foundation Specialists have done a fantastic job at our Southport Superyacht Berth project getting all the pontoon piles installed ahead of time and with millimetre accuracy! 18.01.2022 In 2019 MGN Civil was engaged by Redland City Council to remediate four of the nine rock groynes located on Raby Bay. We are thankful to be given the opportunity to complete the remaining five groynes. With limited access, all rock is delivered to site via barge and rehandled into position using an excavator positioned on each groyne.

18.01.2022 After more than 18 months of construction, we are proud to open this fantastic new boating facility to the Mission Beach and surrounding communities today. The project involved the import of over 100,000t of rock, new boat ramp, construction of two new car parks, roadworks, toilet facility and pontoons. We wish to offer our sincere gratitude to the local community for their patience and ongoing support for us during this project. We trust the new facility will be popular, providing safe access for the boaties in the years to come. Happy holidays. #breakwater #seawall #rockwall #boatlife #boating #qld #missionbeach #holidayseason

17.01.2022 We had a visit from the Premier yesterday at our new revetment project in the Rosslyn Bay Marina, Yeppoon. Thanks for stopping by. 11.01.2022 Recently we commenced the lining of Dam 8 in the former Mount Morgan Gold Mine. Once the upgrade is complete, the dam will retain inflows ultimately reducing the volume of contaminated water flowing into the old open cut pit. To date the site has been stripped and sub grade works completed. #mining #upgrade #environment # #engineering #water #construction #earthworks #contractor

10.01.2022 This month we celebrate five years in business! When we commenced operations in 2015 we set our sights on providing expert construction services in the challenging marine civil sector with a particular focus on seawalls, revetment structures, land reclamation, ground improvement, bulk earthworks and associated projects. Five years later we are proud to report that we haven't strayed from our original ideas. Our team has been fortunate to work in some idyllic Australian locati...ons from the south coast of NSW to far North Queensland. With permanent bases now in Brisbane, Cairns and Silkwood and approximately 50 employees/contractors, we continue to provide "local" service to our valued clients. We wish to thank all of our employees past and present, the communities within which we work, subcontractors, suppliers and clients who have helped make the first five years such a success. We look forward to sharing future successes with you all. #mgncivil #thankful #fiveyears #queensland #nsw #australia #local #seawall #rockwall #breakwater #revetment #earthworks #groundimprovement #civilconstruction #contracting

09.01.2022 The northern team have been delivering armour rock to the Port of Townsville for four months now destined for the new seawall. The big rock is hard on the gear but our fitters and mechanics work around the clock to keep the trucks moving! Nice work team. #construction #engineering #safety #kenworthtrucks #truckers #seawall #hauling #haulage

07.01.2022 This week the team got going on the new revetment project at Shoalhaven on the south coast of NSW. Tough tidal conditions to start with but works progressing well. Once complete the new revetment will provide much needed protection to the adjacent embankment and the road above.

07.01.2022 From one nice location to the next! The team has just mobilised to Mackay Harbour to do some revetment repairs. #revetment #rockwall #mackay #harbour #port #qld

06.01.2022 Throwback to 2017 when MGN was engaged by NSW Public Works to upgrade the Bethungra Dam as part of its safety improvement program. Constructed in the 1890’s and standing over 14m tall, the concrete Bethungra Dam did not meet current Standards. The upgrade originally involved a tiered gabion basket buttress. Once on site our staff identified an opportunity to construct the buttress using large armour rock readily available from a nearby quarry. The revised design was modelled at the Manly Hydraulics Laboratory and proved to meet the minimum design requirements by a factor of three. The innovative upgrade resulted in project savings of over $750k and provided a much improved whole of life solution. #construction #civilengineering #innovation #safety #dam #armourrock #earthworks #mgncivil #gettingitdone

06.01.2022 First project completed for 2021. MGN Civil were engaged by North Queensland Bulk Ports to stabilise a failing section of the western revetment area within Mackay Harbour. 20,000t of various classes of rock were used to complete the project. The large tidal range in Mackay meant that careful staging of the rock placement was necessary to ensure productivity was maintained. The project team managed the tides well which resulted in the project being completed ahead of time. Well done team

06.01.2022 Second project completed for 2021. This one was a small but tricky revetment project located in Rosslyn Bay Harbour. The existing revetment had to be rebuilt to provide both wave protection and additional separation from the adjacent building. Well done team!

04.01.2022 Thanks to the team at Imec, both the Southern and Northern carparks are almost complete! On track for a finish next month. Can not wait to open up this great facility for the local Mission Beach community. #clumppoint #missionbeach #breakwater #construction #civilconstruction #queensland #boatlife #boating

04.01.2022 Our latest piece of equipment to join the fleet has just arrived at our Southport Super Yacht Berth project. A Doosan DX480 Long Reach excavator ready to do some deep digging! #construction #doosan #excavator #longreach #superyacht #reclamation #rockwall #revetment
