We'll get the bad news out of the way first... unfortunately, due to the current lockdown conditions for Melbourne and th...e NSW/Victoria border closure, we have had to cancel Round 2 of the AMRS at Winton... we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our competitors (who were undoubtedly pumped to be back on track). The good news is we're still committed to holding Round 3 of our series at Sandown at the end of August (after lockdown conditions are scheduled to end) and entries for this are now open. Naturally, we'll be monitoring conditions and if we're unable to run the event, entrants shall receive a full refund. 19.01.2022 Historic Sandown is to be held on 6th to 8th November 2020 and at this stage the VHRR intends to run it as normal under the COVID-19 requirements of Motorsport Australia. Planning is underway and we should be in a position to open entries in the first week of August at which stage you will receive an email to remind you. As you would be aware the current lockdown in Victoria may have an impact and if in the unlikely event we cannot proceed you will be notified immediately and... any entries paid for will be refunded in full. 15.01.2022 It is unfortunate that the VHRR have announced the cancellation of the 2020 VHRR Sandown Historic, one of the best motorsport events on the calendar year will return in 2021. We support that in the current climate it is the best decisions from a health and safety aspect and will look at alternative options for our competitors to get on track in 2020 where possible

07.01.2022 ****IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**** Dear VSCRC Competitors, Category Reps and Officials The Victorian Mini Club Inc, the promoting club for round 5 of the Victorian ...State Circuit Racing Championships, wish to advise with great disappointment of the cancellation of the 5th round of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships, which was to be held at Phillip Island on the 26th and 27th of September. As you are aware that as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic many of us have been in lockdown on two occasions and the new round of restriction and the implementation of the Stage 4 Restrictions have been factors contributing to this decision. The new legislation limiting movement away from our homes as well as the health & wellbeing of competitors and officials, and availability of medical resources have impacted on our ability to comply. Ultimately these could not be guaranteed leaving us with no option. We explored a number of options in order to proceed with the event, including restructuring the event itself, but unfortunately current circumstances mean that we cannot continue with the uncertainty of the near future. We are terribly disappointed as are the other clubs involved in VSRS and the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships. We are hopeful that in the future rounds of the championships will be able to proceed. We would like to acknowledge the assistance given to us by Motorsport Australia, Phillip Island Operations and Executive of the Victorian State Race Series Inc, Ambulance Victoria and the Victorian Motor Race Panel. 03.01.2022 VICTORIAN STATE CIRCUIT RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 The Executive of the Victorian State Race Series Inc have reviewed the situation in light of the current and l...ikely future Covid 19 restrictions. Unfortunately, we have only been able to conduct one round this year way back in February at Sandown. We do not believe that there is any real prospect of conducting any more meetings this year. We have therefore decided that there will be no Championship awarded for 2020 and therefore no presentation. This is a major disappointment for us as I am sure it is for all our competitors and officials. We will be organising a calendar for 2021 in the near future and we will keep you informed. In the mean-time please keep all your family and loved ones safe; and do all that you can to shorten this pandemic so we can all get back to motorsport as soon as possible. 02.01.2022 There is a little area called Victoria in the bottom right corner of the country that is screaming for motor racing to return to our State. In February the Stat...e was dealing with fires, then after we started to regroup we then got dealt the first wave of COVID with its restrictions. Just as we were up and about recovering from the first wave, it has all gone bad again in Melbourne with its second wave. This just hasn't affected Winton Raceway, but Sandown Raceway and Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit as well. Other States have had and will have racing continuing. Despite us being in Regional Victoria with no COVID cases in this area for months, 90% of our customers are from Melbourne and Interstate. Needless to say, apart from our Test and Tune on August the 1st, there isn't a lot going on with on track activitiy. When the restrictions are lifted, it will be all action you can be sure with a full calendar. So with all this time on our hands, here are a few things that a driver can do to fill his or her time at Winton Motor Raceway.
