23.01.2022 Well Dunkin (YA1006 "MGY47") is back on the road. After his "failure to proceed" at Conondale on the 70th Sunday Drive and recovery by tow truck, all it took was a new oil pipe & a good clean. The oil trail to Conondale extends for 16km (10miles) back up the road to Reesville. Thank you Paul Barrow for switching off so quickly when the oil pressure fell to zero - you saved the bearings. To celebrate, we ventured for a run down to Nambour under blue skies with Dunkin at full charge - a "Grand Outing".

19.01.2022 Event underway - all cars have arrived in Nambour & final checks being done before the first drive in the Hinterland today. The cars will be on show at the PCYC in Youth Ave, Burnside from 2-4pm today - see you there !.

There are over 500 images from the weekend from which you can print your own favourites, as well as a copy of the Event Handbook listing all the cars & owners, and the "official" Event Report. 10.01.2022 I am planning a little 2 week tour from Gympie to Cairns - for Pre-1956 MG's only, visiting the Qantas Museum, Outback Hall of Fame and the two Dinosaur sites, as well as the North Qld All British day. Last week in May & first week in June 2019 - who else wants to come along ?. Motel stays along the way, with a reasonable pace to take in the sights.

09.01.2022 Lost two weeks in the shed due to injury, so just a liitle behind on engine rebuild for YA-1006, engine back in car tomorrow ?. A bit of midnight oil early in the week & should be OK for the 70th weekend. #lifeislikethat, #donttellgodyourplans !.

06.01.2022 The registrations are rolling in fast - we have 33 people in 25 Y-Types coming so far so it's going to be great. Please don't leave your registration too late - we have limits at some venues that we need to manage.

06.01.2022 And getting to the 70th is half the fun - Gavin has built an A-Frame to tow GeM to Nambour. Looks great !. Hands up anyone who want to see the A-Frame during one of our car park workshops at the 70th Weekend ?.

03.01.2022 The first rally plate was handed over to Bill Spall on 12th April, and Andrew Totham later that day !. Only 32 days to go now....

03.01.2022 Rally Plate mounting ? - I used a couple of plastic strips that come from the edge of house flooring sheets, but metal strips would work as well. A couple of zip ties to the rego plate & good to go to the 70th !.
