18.01.2022 Great day on the water earning our first Scratch win and the double with a 1st on handicap too in tricky 5-8 knott NE. Big rig and turbo. It wasn’t flawless but we managed to eliminate the big whoopsies and picked some nice shifts. Loving the process and the improvement since three like minded guys met, came together, bought a boat and went sailing. Can’t wait till the next race.... Thanks to Dimitri for the awesome pics.

15.01.2022 What an eventful afternoon in a gusty NW’er from 6 to 22 knots. A little rusty and dusty, especially on the helm, but so good to get the three of us back on board together. More than a few swims and a bit of floating mid-harbour sail repair in race one got us back to the start line in race two. Tired but still smiling. ... We made it around the track where several boats withdrew. Great acrobatics from Tony, who’s ribs held up well.

13.01.2022 Hey Trent Wildman, The old girl has still got it with our first 1st place on handicap even with a Rohan ‘L’ plate moment just shy of the finish line. Turns out with a re-calc, we were 1st in the second race too. Looking forward to working towards many more.... Also poignant that at the belated Club Christmas Party we were given a set of ‘L’ plates. A couple more successes and we graduate to our red ‘P’ plates.

11.01.2022 Tricky day on the water. Lots of helming lessons learned. One day your the swan, the next the feather duster, thanks Tinny. 7 of 10 on scratch, 5 on handicap. ... Crew still smiling and looking to next week.

11.01.2022 After our result today, I think we have officially graduated. L plates are off.

09.01.2022 An interesting afternoon on the water. Great start and were competing with the BIG boys and girls being fourth around the top mark which turned out not to be. Ahh That’s what compass bearing are for So sliding to last we had great boat speed up and down wind, almost pegging back 5 boats from 200m behind. ... A L Plate wobbly at the last top mark let 3 get away but we all feel great confidence that we can be competitive with the fleet.
