23.01.2022 Hi would like to put the word out on a upcoming show in April in Victoria. Hopefully all Victorians will get behind it and also welcome any new comers keen to show their horses. All States will be welcome and hopefully there will be a team effort from NSW to participate. We are hoping this will be a big one with lots of changes to help current members and encourage new ones! Anyone wanting to help or put ideas forward please come forward.

Th...ere’s so much to look forward to with the ponies getting out, trimming and cleaning them up, cleaning all the harness it just fulfils your day. Instead of sitting around and losing yourself, you are out doing something. ... 79-year-old Malcolm Arthur See more

13.01.2022 Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the shocking bushfires it is heartening to hear of people who were able to save their properties and are safe with their families and Animals but devastating to hear news of so many who lost so much. A HUGE THANKYOU to all who fight the fires, you are special people who also give up so much to help protect others, words cannot describe what your efforts mean and how your actions save so many. THANKYOU also to those who helped evacuate animals and provide much needed accommodation to those who needed it. If anyone needs any assistance or support that you think we may be able assist with please do not hesitate to ask. At times like this we need to be there for each other and support each other as sometimes just knowing you have support helps you get through.

13.01.2022 ... Due to some misinformation being circulated, the following is a clarification of DNA requirements for Mares, which comes into effect for Foals born in the 2020/2021 breeding season and each season thereafter. Which means that Members still have 12 months plus to have the DNA Profile done of Mares they intend breeding from. Confirming that Mares ONLY have to have their DNA Profile on file with MHAA if the Mare has been mated and the resulted Foal is being registe...red with MHAA. Therefore you only have to have the DNA Profile of your Mare on file with MHAA if you are breeding your Mare and registering the Foal. MEMBERS DO NOT HAVE TO DNA ALL THEIR MARES. If you own a Mare and are not breeding from her, you do not need to have the Mares DNA Profile done, unless you wish to. If you wish you can arrange your DNA Profile through MHAA, however MHAA accepts ANY Lab’s DNA Profile results. DNA of Stallions was voted in BY THE Members from the 2012/2013 breeding season and DNA of Mares was voted in BY THE Members in 2014, thus giving Members 6 years notice of the requirement. If you have ANY queries, or wish further clarification, please email [email protected] so that you can be given the true facts. ,,,...

08.01.2022 Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season and hope that the devastating fires can be brought under control and that rain falls where needed.

07.01.2022 ...The National Committee of Management of MHAA have advised Members via E-News that due to the devastation around Australia following on-going drought and fir...es that have ravaged our country, that they will not be holding a National Show this year. If you did not receive a copy of the E-News please email [email protected] for a copy to be sent to you . The E-News will also be on the MHAA website. THANKYOU to all the Members who have contacted us and thanked us for making this decision your support is appreciated. Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the catastrophic events of the last few months. Thanks to those who have offered support to those affected and to the fire fighters who sacrificed so much to protect those who were in danger. At times like this we should look after each other and make sure everyone is ok See more

07.01.2022 ... We hope everyone is coping ok with the current restrictions that are in place and that they are staying home and staying safe while protecting themselves and others. MHAA National Committee are aware of the extreme pressure and stress Members are under and will assist in any way that they can, as at times like this we all need to look out for each other. Please take care, stay safe and if we all do the right thing, we can get through this, as remember we are all in it together.

06.01.2022 ... As you are all aware we have had to put all Shows on hold for the time being and while we have this downtime it’s a good opportunity to make sure all your Horse paperwork is up to date etc, especially as we have no idea how long we will have to comply with current restrictions, which at the moment is expected to be several months. Therefore at the current time with self-distancing and movement restrictions that are in place if anyone has any Horses that need measuring for upgrade we have put a procedure in place to assist Members in this regard. If anyone has any Horses that need measuring for upgrade or registration, please contact the National Secretary Barb Voysey, or email [email protected]

04.01.2022 ... Anzac Day brings back different memories to us all our loved ones and others who served their Country and many who gave up their lives for us. Anzac Day this year was like no other we have experienced, but in a lot of ways it held more meaning and was remembered by more people, especially young people across the world with many magnificent tributes at dawn, people on their drive-ways and the playing of the Last Post seemed to have more meaning this year. Although we could not be with those who we hold near and dear, they are always in our thoughts and hearts and we hope that you are all taking care of yourselves and by continuing to stay apart we are working together in keeping everyone safe. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM ... LEST WE FORGET

01.01.2022 ... Good luck to everyone attending and showing at the NSW State Show today ... thanks for supporting the Show .... hope you all have a great Show, and safe travel home ...
