21.01.2022 Mental Health Training for Housing Workers Reference Group MHCC and Community Housing Industry Association have been funded by the Ministry of Health to deliver mental health training for community housing workers. Are you interested in providing your expertise to this project, to develop a training for community housing providers to support staff to understand mental health issues in greater depth? This program will introduce you to community and mental health services and build your skills and confidence in the sector. 08.01.2022 Climate change impacts mental health: A group of leading community organisations are calling for stronger action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, anticipating significant mental health impacts from climate change. MHCC has joined ICLA and 13 leading mental health, disability, homelessness and peak organisations in calling for stronger government incentives to move to a zero emissions economy. MHCC CEO Carmel Tebbutt said climate change disproportionately effects the most ...vulnerable people, including people living with mental health conditions. ICLA CEO Rachel Green said distress about climate change was a key issue raised by the people they support.
