17.01.2022 A great visual representation of everything that lies underneath a mental health condition. If we want a 'well' society, we need to address all the underlying causes of mental illness first. (credit to Sebastian Cordoba who posted this on the AASW forum)

16.01.2022 Update! I am available to provide individualised, person-centred, trauma-informed and holistic direct support for plan and self-managed participants of the NDIS. This can be done remotely for those self-isolating (via Zoom or other preferred apps), or face to face if requiring assistance with community access, attending appointments and social support. I operate within the Inner North/East suburbs of Melbourne, as well as North/North-West - though if you are further out and ...believe I am a good fit, give me a call and we can discuss further. I have extensive experience within the mental health sector, having provided case management and support work throughout the last 12 odd years as a social worker. I like to work collaboratively alongside the person receiving a service; helping them to identify and achieve their goals, and assist them to live their best lives! My personal interests include music, art and reading - I'm a creative sort who incorporates this into my work with participants if we have shared pursuits. I'm also a big lover of nature and proponent of the therapeutic benefits of being out in it; therefore like to go out for walks as often as I can. I can also provide sub-contracted support coordination for your organisation, having previously worked in the Partners in Recovery program, and provided Specialist Support Coordination more recently.

15.01.2022 It's been a very busy start to this year, which explains the eerie silence on this page. I'm only just catching my breath! And I am finally able to announce that I have capacity to take on some new referrals for counselling and support. I am a jack of all trades, so let me know what your needs are and I'll see if I can help :) This is for Plan Managed NDIS participants in the North, though I will consider referrals from East and West of Melbourne too.

13.01.2022 Excited to be signing contracts with a couple of wonderful counselling and support coordination organisations. The drought has broken!

13.01.2022 For those unaware, it is possible to receive a further 10 additional Medicare subsidised psychology sessions. This is for those who are impacted by the second wave of Covid. Reach out and receive the support you need. It's tough, but we will get through it.
