15.01.2022 Well I had a shot of pure joy this week. As we were getting home from a walk, what did we see but a very sweet young koala. The truth about koalas for the non-Australians is that you just don't see them very often. I'm talking about this being maybe the fourth time I've seen one in the wild and it was just across from the street from my house. Which I think is a pretty good reward for how often you can hear koalas mating very loudly in the middle of the night (Yeah, hearing them is not a problem, they mate very, very loudly and then hide during the day). So between me, the French builders working on the kitchen and about five passing drivers, each persons day was made with the unexpected moment.

10.01.2022 A picture of the garden looking lush as it gets warmer here in Australia. Getting ready to launch new book. It is at the very final editing stages. It is a November release so a little later than I originally expected it would be out, but I hope it is worth the wait. It has a Byron Bay setting, so I look forward to introducing you to my town. I think Byron is a crazy but beautiful place to live, and my characters oddly enough agree with me.

I'm posting regularly to my instagram account @miaterryauthor and sharing bits of Byron Bay. The below photo is taken at Main Beach, Byron Bay and if you have read the book you'll remember a very important scene happened there. I'll be posting the tree under which the scene was set in the next few days on my Insta.
