19.01.2022 Tennis Elbow can have you feeling... . Resting, Stretching and Massage will not help... it may give you 'some' short term relief. In a lot of cases it can... give you a little 'flare up' in the next 2-3 hours. It definitiely doesn't help long term. . Graded and Guided loading is the only way forward. Getting your elbow exercise right at the start is often the hardest part. We need to pick something that actually challenges the tendon. It will often elicit a 3-4/10 pain. That's OK, That's what we want, that's a tendon moving forward. . Just as your tendon adapts to that load - we will 'up it' again. . At each of these points you can have 'mini flare ups' and you can often get discouraged. This is normal and it is OK. PATIENCE. . Give it 8-12 weeks of progressive load and you should be feeling good again or at least on the right path. . As always cortisone is only reccomended if you are really, really struggling to load your elbow at all and you have failed with 4-6 weeks of trying to load your elbow. At best it is a masking agent at worst it is probably making your tendons more unhealthy in the long term. . Get in touch, comment or shoot us a message .
