20.01.2022 Commission piece: A drawing using my favourite medium : Rembrandt pastels.

20.01.2022 I found this poem in my 20’s during a time where I had a very challenging relationship with my mother. It always struck a chord with me, especially when I had my own daughter. This painting/ textile piece is called Born to breed/ Breed , Bred, Born I painted this a few years after I had my daughter. The pregnant female form with the futures females within, resemble jigsaw puzzle pieces which signifies that women are interlinked. The background has writing (stitch) repe...ating the title.
