Funk is getting a new home in the Swan Valley, Perth Western Australia Weve bought a winery called Swanbrook (formerly Evans and Tate Winery) located at 38 Swan Street, Henley Brook. Were pretty chuffed about it and you should be too! This new facility will enable us to produce a crazy amount (literally millions of litres a year) of your favourite funk products. There is still a bit of work to do before we open, but well be putting our spin to it over the next few months and bringing the property back to life in more ways than funkn one! Keep your eyes out on our socials for our opening date! 18.01.2022 So citrusy!! It was a big orange and lemon juice pressing day today. The room where Lena is standing, with her big and bright smile, is a cool room - that's where we cold-press our juices and where @funkcider cold-presses their apple juice. Just behind the wall lives a "fruit-bin elevator" haha it lifts the bin full of fruit and dispenses them into the pressing machine.... Lena then ensures the quality of the fruit that goes in and helps feed the fruits into it all while controlling the cold-pressing via a security pump by her foot This machine is only used for the citrusy fruits like orange and lemons. 16.01.2022 A fruitful entrepreneur Martin was invited to share his story as an entrepreneur with the young audience from the "Tell us your story" podcast and hopefully inspire the next generation to take the risk and open their own business. Martin is only 29 himself, and his brother Dustin is 33. Hopefully, their story from pressing orange juice from their farm to building a craft cider brand and then purchasing their own winery can be that small spark that someone needed to have a g...o! Entrepreneurship is not easy, and these difficult times of COVID can make it even more challenging, but the world needs entrepreneurs, the people that are willing to take a big risk and travel the road less travelled. Paraphrasing Martin's words on the podcast: have a go! hop in what you think is right and don't worry about what everyone else tells you because then you have that attitude, and at the end of the day, it is you who is going to have to make it work.

15.01.2022 Fermentation is an ancient method of preserving food. Examples of everyday fermented foods and drinks are wine, cider, cheese, yogurt and craft sodas. There are a number of benefits associated with fermented foods and drinks. They are usually correlated with supporting a healthy gut through probiotics and easy digestion. Strawberries are not only sexy & delicious but their heart shape gives away the fact that they are potent helpers in protecting your heart. They are also full of nutrients, including: Vitamin C.... Maria arrives before the suns come up and does her magic to make sure all orders are finalised and ready to go to production. All orders are then consolidated into a production run and the juicing team is briefed on all that needs to get done that day. ... Up we go and the team is separated between pressing and bottling The pressing team is responsible for cold-pressing the juice which is sent straight away to the bottling room, where they get bottled, stacked and stored in the cool room Once the juices have all been pressed and bottled, the team is ready to start packing orders and setting them aside for each individual delivery Superstar Maria then rights the run sheets and leaves it all ready for the delivery drivers With all orders ready, the delivery drivers collect the orders first thing in the next morning and deliver them to you!!
