25.01.2022 When I tell people that I am a Celebrant, they immediately connect with wedding celebrant, and they make comments such as - "how fantastic - it must be such a happy time." Then I mention that I also conduct funerals - usually more funerals in a year than weddings, and they often say, "How do you manage all that sadness - I could never do that". For me, conducting funerals is some of the most rewarding work that I have ever done. It is a privilege to spend time with families when they are in grief and shock at the death of a loved one - to give them the courage to create a fitting tribute and truly 'celebrate' the life of the deceased. And after the ceremony is complete, to receive the gratitude from family and friends. It can be very challenging at times, but the rewards are many.

22.01.2022 I realise that self-promotion is important in generating business, but I still find it challenging to post these reviews, but here goes. A selection of recent reviews from my wonderful couples. My husband and I could not speak any higher of Michael. From the moment we met with Michael it felt as though we had known him a long time. We wanted a traditional ceremony with a relaxed vibe and Michael was able to channel that perfectly. He was very professional and took the ease o...f the wedding planning stresses away. Working with Michael to create our dream ceremony was a highlight for my husband and I. Amy & Jake My husband and I got to know Michael with the referral of our wedding planner. It was lucky to have Michael as our marriage celebrant and we could not have such an unforgettable big day without his help and assistance! His listening and communication skills were excellent, and he was very accommodating to our particular style of ceremony, giving it the relaxed and casual tones we were looking for, which in turn beautifully reflected the uniqueness of our relationship. Julie-Ann & John Micheal was fabulous to work with - He is very experienced and organised. He helped us all the way along with creating our vows and he also managed the ceremony on the day. 20.01.2022 The 2019/20 Wedding season has started for me. Yesterday I conducted a ceremony for a beautiful couple, Jarad and Bella, in the suberb gardens of Al-Ru Farm, @alrufarm and then MC'd their reception. With only 40 guests, it was a warm and intimate family event - so enjoyable.
20.01.2022 It is very gratifying to receive acknowledgement for one's work. I think that this is the fourth consecutive year that I have received this award from EASY WEDDINGS. It is based upon the reviews that I have received from the couples I have married. Of course the work is very rewarding, but it remains a challenge to create something uniquely personal for each couple.

18.01.2022 Last night I officiated at the renewal of vows for Kenn and Neil who were married in Canada 11 years ago - September 26, 2007. It was a wonderful event and family and friends flew in from all around Australia, the UK and USA. The fact that their marriage of eleven years is now formally recognized under Australian law was an occasion of great celebration and emotion. Thank you Neil and Kenn for allowing me the privilege of participating and celebrating wit you.
15.01.2022 WooHoo - Today, December 9, 2017, I am marrying a couple and will be using the new changed 'Monitum' - "Marriage, according to law in Australia, is the union of two people to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life." And I have two confirmed bookings for SS Couples, and other enquiries. An historic day and Life is good!!!!!
15.01.2022 This wedding season has been very busy, with the honour of marrying more than twenty couples. Today I conducted a wedding, for a beautiful couple, Michelle and David who were married in the magnificent grounds of K1 Winery. As they live in Melbourne, most of the meetings and planning were conducted by long distance - phone, email and Skype. They were a joy to work with. The weather was perfect, the setting idyllic and "love was in the air".
08.01.2022 Yesterday I celebrated the marriage of Phil and Dani, in the midst of magnificent natural bushland at the @Sinclair'sGully Winery. The environment was magical, as were the truly beautiful bridal couple, who flew in from Guangzhou

04.01.2022 What an historic and deeply emotional day. Australia wins from this process, despite the fact that from a basic human rights viewpoint, one would wish that the LGBTQI community had not had to endure the plebiscite. HOWEVER, the community must take comfort from the fact that 62% of 80% of the Australian population voted in favour - not just a handpicked group of a couple of hundred representatives in Canberra.
02.01.2022 on Friday, I had the pleasure of working with Luke of Luke Simon Photography for a magnificent wedding at Longview Vineyard. Apart from being a professional and very skilled photographer, he is a real pleasure to work with - flexible, gentle manner, easy to work with in every way.
