06.01.2022 The intersection upgrade at the New England & Golden Highways is out to tender. That means construction will begin early to mid next year. We’ve waited a long time and the Nationals in government are once again delivering. https://fb.watch/24Gvw2cHDk/
06.01.2022 Hunter Valley Police District to run a trial. New powers to search convicted drug dealers and manufacturers as well as their properties to prevent drug supply and keep our communities safe, have passed the lower house in the NSW Parliament. The Bill delivers on this Government’s election commitment for a two-year pilot of a Drug Supply Prohibition Order (DSPO) scheme. It will be piloted in Bankstown Police Area Command, and the Orana Mid-West, Hunter Valley and Coffs/Clarence Police Districts.
04.01.2022 A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the work of Dr. John Rogers in his stellar medical career in the Upper Hunter. Along with his wife Christine, they have enriched our community and we appreciate them very much.
04.01.2022 We have an exciting update. The bikes for our bike library have arrived! Liam and Rob from Tempest Bicycles have done an incredible job in securing these hardta...il beauties for our community. We initially see our bike library as a program for our local kids*, who are desperate to be out riding but don't have access to a bike. In order to borrow, local kids will need to be a paid member of Ride Dungog (insurance purposes). We understand membership fees may be a challenge, so we will be launching an "earn a Ride Dungog membership" program alongside our bike library, which will allow local kids to "pay off" their annual club membership through community service, or through the management of the bike library. As a club, we will do everything we can to remove all the barriers to our local kids riding bikes, including insurance and helmets! Ride Dungog will be at Tempest Bicycles on Dowling Street next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3pm to 4pm helping kids sign up and to explain the Bike Library in further detail. Pop in after-school for all the info! A huge thank you to Michael Johnsen MP - Nationals Member for Upper Hunter and Our Regional NSW for their support, as well as Tempest Bicycles who have sourced the bikes and will store and service them for our community (amazing)! *The Bike Library is not just for kids, it is for all members of Ride Dungog!
02.01.2022 Congratulations to our wonderful RFS volunteers for a combined 495 years of service to our community. A special mention to David Brooker for an amazing 62 years of service. We thank you all for keeping us safe.
