24.01.2022 On Tuesday at the Pagoda Resort in Perth we are going live with the Gulpilil portrait. This event is open to the public and will be the first and possibly only opportunity to see the original painting.
17.01.2022 The Gulpilil Dreaming NFT goes live next Monday at midnight AEST. The portrait was painted from life based on sittings with David Gulpilil in January 2021. The NFT sale includes the original painting and proceeds from the sale will be shared with David to help with his healing and care for lung cancer.

22.10.2021 The Lagoon Studio and some of the work produced for private and corporate clients in Australia and overseas. The hours spent in this studio were sublime, but some of the local Board members did not support the idea of a studio gallery in one of the old boat sheds which, under the Lord Howe Island Act, were to be used for maritime purposes only. Broke my heart and influenced decisions that negatively impacted my art career over the balance of the last decade and challenged me... and Sal. 07.09.2021 This image is a story board I created for a screenplay I’m currently working on based on a synopsis I first developed many years ago. This project and the resulting feature film are my dominant creative focus over the next two years. We are building a team of surfing and indigenous elders, writers and directors to bring the frontier wars to the big screen. ... It will be a transformational story combining the best Australian creatives and filmmakers to ensure we get the balance right. Look closely at the satellite image in the centre of the story board and you realise the Aboriginal massacre sites from the frontier wars correlate with the catastrophic bushfires we’ve experienced around Australia since early December (with reference to a graphic created by @anthony_hearsey combining NASA satellite data of the bushfires between 5 December 2019 and 5 January 2020).
