10.01.2022 Can confirm I survived 115 kg x 4 reps on the bench press It looked like I wasn’t going to get the 4th rep so my sister @somethingaboutshirl stopped filming, but I did manage to scrape it out My all time best before this was 115 kg for 2 separate sets of 1 rep, two years ago. I hadn’t trained for bench strength up until the last 3 months, so I’m very happy with how it’s going overall.... It’s been a while since I posted any bench strength updates on my feed so here we are! The past week I’ve been recovering from a small pec pull from my last working bench session of 110 kg x 6 sets x 5 reps. I was cautious going into the working weight today. I was actually meant to go for 8 sets x 4 reps at 115 kg but this one set will do for now At least I felt no pain or pull in my right pec even at the top working weight, so I’m very happy with that . . . #brisbanept #brisbanepersonaltrainer #benchpress #chestday #strongmen

01.01.2022 Monday morning let’s gooo 42.5 kg x 12 reps, new record That’s 2 reps more than I did 2-3 weeks ago, next time we’re going up in poundage I’m not following a set-set program atm, just riffing with what feels good and aiming to progress the major movement for the body part I’m working on. ...
