19.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: A Day To Remember Album: Homesick... From the opening crowd chanted drum line to the closing acoustic ballad, this album is a front to back classic. ADTR really shows off their diversity with perfect blends of clean and scream vocals and breakdowns that will have you moshing and drumming on your steering wheel while you sit in traffic, this album can get you pumped for any occasion. Get on it and let me know what you think! #direspectyoursurroundings
19.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: the offspring Album: Ixnay on the Hombre... There was a period in time, when I thought I had found the only album I would listen to for the rest of my life. I would eat, sleep, train, mow the yard, skateboard, finish homework all whilst blasting this masterpiece as loud as my MP3 player would allow. Musically I don’t even have anything to say... it’s just a bitchin’ album! Let me know if anyone else sunk as many hours into this album as i did!
15.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and the conspirators Album: world on fire... With face melting guitar solos, rocking blues roots riffs and featuring one of the most underrated vocalists of this decade with a vocal range you have to hear to believe, yet again another well put together album with every song a potential hit! Yet somehow, I’ve never heard any commercial play and I’ve never met another person who has heard this album! Seriously, get on it, you won’t be disappointed! Give it a listen and let me know what you all think! #underrated

05.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: The Other Favourites Concert: Live in London... With the whole Corona virus thing going on I wanted to do something a bit different this week. Shows, concerts and even low key pub gigs are getting cancelled all around the world leaving a great strain on everyone from event organisers to bar staff. Musicians are really feeling the strain and really need support. So I’m kindly asking everyone to drop the name or link to some of your favourite undiscovered artists from your own back yard or anywhere in the world so people can get behind them and support their work. Listening to a song, buying merch or even just watching a YouTube upload can go a long way in these tough coming months. This is my favourite undiscovered folk out fit, the other favourites. I stumbled across them on YouTube and I was immediately hooked. This is a live concert from London with awesome acoustic guitar laid back feels and harmonies the likes of the Eagles. Give it a watch and let me know what you think! https://youtu.be/tu4F_ory77s Also give your favourite local artist a shoutout below with a link to their material! Cheers!
05.01.2022 Hey guys! This year I want to do a weekly thing where I share an album, song or something that has influenced me as a musician. This week: Artist- The Black Crowes Album- Shake Your Money Maker... This album has been a staple of my playlists since my early teens. Classic blues guitar soundscapes and rocking melodies has made this album a massive influence on how I want to present my music. To top it off, it has an Otis Redding cover of the classic song Hard to Handle, which is easily the most recognisable song on the album due to its large commercial radio success. Give it a listen and let me know what you guys think!
03.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: The Gaslight Anthem Album: The ‘59 sound... With a Bruce Springsteen/ Boston rock sound, the ‘59 sound is a nod towards an old school American rock sound with a modern feel. Every song feels well thought out and put together whilst keeping that raw honest form of music created by mates jamming in a garage. Well worth the listen! Let me know what you guys think! https://open.spotify.com/album/5ObH3ig9IUvFJyUFNPpAVC
02.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: Green day Album: American idiot... Rocking riffs, kick ass drums and a gripping story from front to back. I’ve had this entire album as a staple engrained in all my playlists from mixed cd’s to mp3s. An underrated gem of a concept album looked over mostly because of their punk heritage has left a some what underwhelming appreciation for the lyrics and overall story. I’ve so often found myself returning to hear the story of St. Jimmy and somehow manage to find new aspects to appreciate each time. I actually took the time when I was 15 to learn every song on this album and still today find influence in such simplistic yet effective guitar writing! Give it a listen and let me know what you think
02.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: Rise Against Album: Sufferer and the Witness ... With so much of my young music listening being rooted in blues and rock it only feels natural that my musical taste would start to move towards the metal scene. Still searching for tasty riffs, soaring melodies and meaningful lyrical content I came across this album in the mid 2000’s and it was a real tipping point for the heavier side of music I’d been looking for and would eventually progress past. Have a listen and let me know what you guys think about this one! (PSA: at the time I found this album I thought it was heavy, it’s really not... worth a listen for everyone)
02.01.2022 Molly Malone’s here I come! Catch me this Saturday from 9pm playing some tunes and enjoying some of the coldest beer in town! I’ll see you all there
01.01.2022 Album of the week! Artist: NF Album: The Search... I’ve always had a tremendous respect for rap, to be able to command the English language like some of the greats is something I’ve always admired. A lot of recent rap however I’ve found lazy, unoriginal and uninspired. That is until I found NF. Cinematic music with articulate lyrical phrasing, clever schemes and lyrical content that’s layered in meaning has found me replaying this album a lot lately trying to capture all the nuances of each song. A clever album about the stress and struggle of fame and mental health in general, this album is well worth the listen and I’m glad I stumbled across it! Give it a listen and let me know what you guys think!
