14.01.2022 We had a visit today from this absolutely beautiful couple Alf and Betty, who have been married 75 YEARS, yes 75 years on 14 June. They still live together in ...their own home and when I asked if they received "Meals on Wheels" they responded with no Alf does the cooking and Betty does the serving. Mike had to resize Betty's 75 year old wedding ring for the upcoming anniversary celebration. They were just gorgeous and I noted Alf opening the car door and helping Betty into her seat belt before he drove off. We wish them all the best! xx See more

07.01.2022 Michael Warner Jewellers are closing down on 31 January 2017 after nearly 10 years in Iluka. Our youngest daughter, Kate, is opening "Warner's Fine Jewellery" ...at Shop 2/76 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg, Queensland on 1 April. Kate is wanting to be the 4th generation Warner involved in the jewellery industry and she needs Mike as the master jeweller for the next couple of years. So we leave Iluka on 24 February on our new venture. Not much will change for Mike and I working in the shop. Mike already has customers leaving with us now jewellery makes and new design work to take to Bundaberg. So if you wish to have any work completed by Mike you can call in before we close here and we can take work to Bundaberg or you can get details for posting any future work to us. We currently have customers from all over Australia send us work to be completed. Remember with Mike you have the advantage of him just celebrating 50 years since he started his apprenticeship on 25 November, 1966 and his skill and knowledge of doing all the work from designing, hand making and setting himself. We will be sad to leave Iluka as we have made many friends and acquaintances since moving here both in business and socially. Iluka and surrounding communities have been good to us and we have always tried to offer professional skill, good service and friendship to all. See more

06.01.2022 Well we have been so very busy and cannot believe it is already 15 February, 2016 and we haven't posted anything for so long. This year is already shaping up to be BIG. Plenty of work to do and our eldest daughter, Rebecca, is due to give birth to our new grandchild on 7 March and then a wedding on 24 September (which happens to be my dad's birthday). We bought so many new gem stones to make into beautiful pieces which we will start posting shortly. Mike is a bit busy with customers' orders as usual but will still make some beautiful pieces to tempt you again.
