This an exciting ...and fun 4-week course for both inexperienced and experienced songwriters. I will cover 4 essential areas of the songwriter's toolbox and give you some fantastic techniques you can put into practice immediately. - We will focus on some very cool ways to spice up your chords and patterns and turn ordinary standard phrases into fresh new ideas, we'll explore how modulations can uncover a whole new palette of colours in your song, I'll show you how you never need to be stuck without a melodic idea ever again, we will learn some tricks to making all grooves funkier, how to write a lyric that is NOT derivative and ordinary, how to make money from your music and many many more incredibly useful things... This course is relatively low on technical stuff but high on motivation and musicality. Bring along a track of your own (if you wish) to work on as well. 03.01.2022 Very pleased to announce a new season of singer/songwriter workshop starting Tuesday evening(early), 5th December in Brighton.This is for inexperienced to intermediate level singer/songwriters who have some general chord knowledge and have written some songs.(A beginners workshop will start in a couple of weeks). The workshop is an invigorating, supportive atmosphere that provides an opportunity to discuss experiences, gain confidence, get feedback on your songs and find helpful solutions to problems. Each week I present some powerful songwriting and production tools and tricks you can use immediately to take your singer/songwriter career to the next level. Above all, this is fun.
