25.01.2022 CHRISTMAS AT SNUGGLES PET RESORT Whilst everyone is enjoying their Xmas with family and friends, our guests are having a great time with new-found friends. Some dogs do get a little spoilt by their owners, who leave their doggies a present to open on Xmas Day (or a bag full, Linda!).... 14.01.2022 YOU CAN NOW FLY NORTH FOR WINTER!! Finally! Queensland have today announced that their borders will open for domestic tourism from Friday 10 July. This is great news for anyone that wants to catch up with family or those who want to escape the winter cold. Except for Victorians or people that have visited Victoria in the previous 14 days.... For NSW and ACT residents, the border opening date falls in the middle of our school holidays, allowing families the opportunity to travel to Queensland before school resumes. This is great news for travellers, people with family in Queensland and particularly small business and tourism operators in the Sunshine state. 12.01.2022 NSW TRAVEL IS FINALLY HERE Good news today that travel within NSW for any reason is available to us all again on Monday 1 June - coincidentally the same day Snuggles Pet Resort re-open for business! With the ACT opening up for regional traffic the week or so previously, it was impossible for residents to drive anywhere because NSW was not allowing recreational travel.... But as of 1 June, residents of ACT and NSW and Victoria can now travel freely between each of these states and territories. So, after being cooped up for so long, now is your chance to get out and about; go see family, spend a leisurely weekend at the coast or in the mountains, go trekking with friends, camp by a river, go bargain hunting in Sydney, go horse riding in the Blue Mountains, go for a drive and get some fresh air! With the June long weekend just around the corner, the school holidays only about six weeks away, the ski season likely to open soon and plenty of businesses in fire-affected regions needing your business, NOW is a good time to plan your next getaway. Plan carefully, remember to maintain social distancing and good hand hygiene, follow all the local rules with regard to coronavirus precautions in the area in which you travel and remember to look after yourself and your fellow community members and we'll all continue to enjoy the freedoms we've worked so hard for over the past few months. So, if you're going away, book early (and often) because there is sure to be plenty of like-minded souls eager to stretch their legs after two months cooped up inside. 11.01.2022 WE ARE NOW OPEN!! Now that travel bans across the ACT, NSW and Victoria have been lifted, Snuggles Pet Resort is able to re-open and take good care of your pets while you go away on a much-needed break. Bookings are now open and Snuggles is up and running as normal, with a few temporary changes to the way we do things because of the need to implement health and safety procedures to minimise the risk of Covid-19 transfer amongst customers and staff.... The June long weekend is almost upon us, as is the opening of the ski season on June 22, with the July school holidays not far behind that. And with the need to plan in advance for your holiday due to accommodation restrictions wherever you might go, you may well need to get organised earlier than you thought if you want to guarantee yourself a spot at your preferred destination. So, if you're thinking of taking a break from the home you've been virtually locked away in for these last few months (and who isn't contemplating that!) then give us a call and arrange a holiday for your pets also. 11.01.2022 LAST MINUTE VACANCY AVAILABLE Due to the spread of Covid-19 to areas outside of Sydney, another guest has had to cancel their Christmas plans. This leaves a vacancy at Snuggles from today until 3 January. So, if you're looking to go away for Xmas and need your dog/s taken care of in the best boarding kennel in the region, give us a call ASAP on 02 6235 9523.... 04.01.2022 SNUGGLES TO RE-OPEN ON MONDAY 1 JUNE Snuggles Pet Resort will re-open for business on Monday 1 June, just in time for the Queens Birthday long weekend - at least for those able to travel at that time. Though things are not yet back to normal and travel restrictions remain in place for most people, we don't think it will be too long before regional travel is allowed in the ACT and NSW. ... That is, as long as we all stay conscious of the need to maintain social distancing and good hand hygiene habits!! We will, of course, have social distancing and enhanced hygiene and sanitisation measures in place to protect ourselves and our customers, so things at Snuggles won't be running exactly the same as before, but we'll have more information on that soon as we finalise our Covid-19 Workplace Safety plan. But for now, we open our doors for business on Monday 1 June but we are open for bookings, both phone and online, immediately. That means you can now book for the June long weekend, the July school holidays October school holidays, Christmas and more.
