24.01.2022 Taking enrolments now for our next Puppy Preschool classes in Woodford, and Glasshouse Mountains. Puppies must have had their first vaccination to attend, as these classes are held in a controlled environment, which means that puppies dont need to wait until they are 16 weeks of age, or have completed their puppy vaccinations. The earlier puppies attend preschool the better the outcome, it helps them to become more social, friendly and outgoing. Puppies learn how to introdu...ce themselves to other pups and people outside the family. Owners have a window of opportunity for socialising up to 16 weeks of age this is the most imprinting time, so dont delay in reserving you spot in our next class, as we have limited vacancies, our classes fill quickly. These sessions are for 1 hour over 3 weeks at a cost of $90.00 in total. All classes are currently run on Saturdays. 22.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the current COVID situation I have had to make the decision to cancel all our group classes for the safety of everyone. I know we can all survive this financial and health crisis if we all pull together. A big thank you to my clients who I have spoken to today, who have stated they will be waiting for us to start up again. Your loyalty means a lot to both Nina and I. I am available via email or phone if anyone has any issues that they may need help with... in regards to behaviour issues. PS. Your dogs don't need to go crazy in isolation, so look at letting them have a Doggie Daycare Day, the Mountain View Pet Retreat has a no contact pick up and delivery service, the dogs can at least have a wonderful social day even if we can't. Come on AUSSIES do the right thing so we all get through this. Take care and keep safe
22.01.2022 I have decided to fit in a later class 7.30-8.30pm starting next Monday if anyone missed out on the current class. Woodford Dog Obedience classes is start on the 11th Nov, if you would like to have a well behaved and obedient dog now is the time to enrol. No age limits as long as your dog is fully vaccinated. Classes run for 1 hour over 4 weeks at a cost in total of $145.00.... Teach your dog to walk nicely with you on a loose lead, sit when told, stay, drop and come when called. Jordie, the friendly little Poodle and Sophie, his sister who I am yet to win over, but she is a cutie. All these lovely puppies have now enrolled into our Juvenile class to further their education. 19.01.2022 So many people dumping pets and asking them to be PTS From the animal shelter: You cannot, I repeat you CANNOT get coronavirus from your pets. People are dumping their animals at shelters out of ignorance and fear-please please post this on your page. Dont share it from my page, that limits the number of people that will see it. Please re-post this on your page and get the word out before more animals are abandoned. We are preparing for an onslaught of cats at a time when we are not able to adopt them out. Not to mention its kitten season, and were not able to take them either. Please help.

14.01.2022 This is Ola. She was purchased from Diamond Valley Kennels on 15 December 2019 by a local Sunshine Coast family. On 17 December 2019, Olas owner took her the v...et for her second vaccination her first vaccinations were done on 20 November 2019. As luck would have it, Olas new owner took her to Landsborough & Glass House Vet Surgeries, the same business that DVK uses. At the consultation, Olas new owner was informed that she now has Grade 2 Bilateral Luxating Patellas. Turns out, when DVK took Ola to the vet for her first vaccinations on 20 November 2019, she was diagnosed with Grade 1 Bilateral Luxating Patellas. 25 days later, Diamond Valley Kennels sold Ola - without informing the new owner of the Bilateral Luxating Patellas diagnoses. Her family has now taken Ola to an Orthopedic Specialist vet. In the future, she is likely to require expensive surgery on both knees, with a long recovery. The owner contacted DVK who offered for them to return Ola and collect a different puppy. This offer was declined, as Olas family was already very attached to her, and were not comfortable with what would happen to her if she was returned to DVK, for obvious reasons. DVK then offered Olas family $1,000 - IF they delete their Google Review and all social media posts about Olas story. Diamond Valley Kennels should have made Olas owners aware of this hereditary congenital condition prior to purchase. Diamond Valley Kennels should be supporting Olas family as they have committed to providing Ola with the best possible treatment for Ola to enable her to live a long and happy life. This is simply not good enough. If you have purchased a puppy from DVK and he/she has/had luxating patellas, we strongly encourage you to ring Landsborough & Glass House Vets on 5494 1337 to confirm if they diagnosed the condition prior to your purchase.
