24.01.2022 Update on my mums health Sadly the time has come to say goodbye to her. For 22 years she has been on dialysis and this is what kept her alive She stopped treatment just over two weeks ago I need to stay with her for as long as possible The shop will be closed for around 2 weeks ... 18.01.2022 The dress had to be up sized from a 10 to a 14. The trick is to come up with something that doesnt look wrong. First step is to take outer and lining apart. Then you can start adding. Have a fitting to check the fit before finishing. Then you can finish the garment. It fit beautifully.

16.01.2022 All your leather motorbike garments. All made new or revamp your old ones.

16.01.2022 Okay all you dressmakers out there or even sewers, I just had a customer come and pick up a dress as she is getting a friend to shorten it . its a formal dress with three layers. when I mark these garments I chalk Mark the outer layer so that number 1 its straight on you and also if the chalk goes through to the lining , which always has to be shorter than the outer layer then obviously you would shorten the lining. I cut the outer layer to the mark straight away as the cha...lk does fade. the young lady said that she didnt want the lining shortened which Is ok as all I have done was cut the outer layer to the measurement. She then proceeded to get rude to me about the fact that now the lining was longer and why was that. When I explained why , she said that her friend was only going to shorten the outer layer and didnt need to touch the lining. To make matters worse I charged her for the work that I had already done. She got very rude and slammed the door on her way out. I pride myself on good old fashioned service but its hard to stay composed when people do this to you Not happy See more

The update is that my mother had been on dialysis for 22 years, an extremely long time and she had decided its time to stop. I have just returned and I am opening the shop but its just a matter of time before I will need to return to NZ ...
