24.01.2022 You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice - Bob Marley To all my Melbourne & Vic based friends and family doing it tough, know that you are not alone & you will get through this. Although life may seem uncertain at the moment & times are challenging, know that you are stronger than you know and more resilient than you think. ... To those who are holding it together for their families, loved ones or kids - I see you and you’re doing an amazing job but know that it’s ok to also help yourself & reach out for support. There’s no shame in needing a shoulder to cry on or a virtual hug to get you through (if I could I’d give you one right now!) If you’re ever in need know that I am here for you, whether it be by phone, text or a private message, my door is always open.
23.01.2022 What a big week It’s been an exciting one working on a new contemporary coastal design concept for a client. But also the ultimate juggle with a five month old whose decided he doesn’t want to sleep in the day anymore! #thestruggleisreal ... I think this weekend calls for some much needed down time, whose with me???
23.01.2022 It’s finally here!!!.... I am beyond excited to finally be able to reveal my contemporary coastal project that’s been a labour of love for the last 3 months From where I started (you can see the beautiful before photos of what the space used to look like ) to now I’m so happy with the final outcome. #somuchhardwork ... Months of hard work went into creating a beautiful contemporary coastal home for this family & it’s so nice for that work to be recognised. ... I’ve been really fortunate to work with beautiful clients and families this year. They’ve understood my vision, been open to new ideas and trusted the process. And the best part, at the end of my projects, I’ve walked away with new friendships & for that I’m humbled #thankyoutomyclients

17.01.2022 ‘Your home should tell the story of who you are,and be a collection of what you love’ - Nate Berkus - Interior Designer This quote couldn’t be more true for the recent project I’m working on. I’m feeling very fortunate to be working with a beautiful family who are in need of some help bringing their style and interests together to create a cohesive space.... Travel, skateboarding and family are just some of what they so it’s important that the space is both practical and personal to them. Here’s a little sneak peak of the concept design for the living space that blends their love of mid century with contemporary style. Who here loves mixing interior styles??
16.01.2022 Entering into a new week..... It’s pretty damn crazy just how fast and equally slow this year has been and can you believe it were almost in December?! #whatthe This week’s a bit of a big one with some final concept designs to get finished, Christmas shopping to begin & my first flight of the year (it feels weird to say that!) off to Radelaide to see family ... I think I’m going to need my coffee strong & my kids on mute to get through it! 15.01.2022 I’ve been a little quiet this week.... It’s been head down, bum up for me preparing mood board concepts for a new #coastal inspired home I’m working on. I won’t lie it’s been pretty exhausting trying to get work done with the kids around! (Hats off to everyone whose been doing this for months!)... I think it’s lucky I what I do or I’m not sure I’d have the energy to do both! I’m really looking forward to sharing this project once it’s finished so be sure to watch this space!
13.01.2022 A home is not where you’re from, it’s where you make it I’ve been a busy bee the past few weeks working on a contemporary coastal interior scheme for a very lucky client Although this is going to be a holiday rental there’s no reason why the space can’t feel homely and relaxed. ... I’m really grateful to be able to work on an exciting project such as this because I know the space will provide so much joy to those who come to enjoy it and hopefully make them feel like a #homeawayfromhome Watch this space for the final reveal!!
12.01.2022 Artwork ads so much to a space A lot of people think it’s just used for filling wall space and put little thought into it but it completely adds to the look, and feel of a room and helps create mood. I can’t wait to see this bad boy on the right from The Print Emporium featured in my upcoming coastal retreat project. ... The image of the blue water adds to the relaxed coastal feel of the home and the interiors pick up on the colour palette. I can’t wait to reveal this project once it’s completed! #watchthisspace via @theprintemporium

10.01.2022 When you need to occupy an inquisitive 4 year old, what to you do??? Why not up-cycle some old ceramics. I got the idea from the fab DIY book ‘home is where you make it’ by Geneveva Vanderzeil This is the finished product of some old vintage vases I painted.... 08.01.2022 Every home needs an entry Here’s a little sneak peek at another space from my current contemporary coastal project. I’m so excited to reveal this labour of love once it’s complete but I’ll be honest it hasn’t all been roses ... Product delays , limited stock and tight deadlines have made my life pretty stressful and with 2 little ones to look after, I’m one tired mumma #thestruggleisreal Thankfully it’s almost the weekend and I’m looking forward to some well deserved R&R Have a great weekend peeps xx
06.01.2022 With so many of us spending more time at home , creating a space that we want to spend time in has become a priority. One of the biggest #interiordecorating mistakes I commonly see in peoples homes is incorrect scale. When items such as furniture or decor are to big or to small for a space it can leave the room looking out of proportion.... Here's some quick design tips that can assist you with creating the right balance in your home. A rug should anchor your seating arrangement; it doesn’t necessarily have to fill the whole room. It should be large enough so you can place at least the front two legs of your sofa and any main chairs on it. Choose furniture that is in proportion to the size of the room. If you have high ceilings and a large floor area consider larger pieces of furniture to help fill the space correctly. Leave room for negative space - to keep a room’s design from looking too busy, leave certain areas blank. For example, when hanging wall art in both small and large rooms, make sure to leave white space around the frames. 06.01.2022 An interior should represent what you value and showcase your personality Over the last few months I’ve had the pleasure of working with different clients but they’ve all had a similar problem. How to showcase their personality in the home ... One of my key pieces of advice is to get clear on what your personal interior style is so you have a base to work with. Then to add interest, layer the space with decor & accessories that represent the colour palette you’re drawn to & items that tell a story of who you are and what you such as artwork, items from overseas, sentimental objects and photos to name a few.
