24.01.2022 I love this photo. J-spines on both, Hip-Hinging (She could never do this if she was tucked or swayed) Inner Corset to protect the spine. This is what the body can do when it is in alignment.

23.01.2022 The Greeks were very interested in physical prowess, athletics, and appearance, and left us plenty of art to inspire us in these directions.

23.01.2022 Tassie has opened its borders to the Certain States (ACT, QLD, SA, WA, NT) and NZ. No Quarantine required.

23.01.2022 The drinking bird hinges at the hip without distorting his spine, just like we should! This image helps new students to understand the movement.

12.01.2022 I get many cyclists coming to me for massage. But looking at your posture on your bike is key to maintaining your health while exercising. Then massage becomes a pleasurable choice instead of a fix.

12.01.2022 This statue in the Musee d'Orsay shows a way to strengthen the rotatores and erector spinae muscles of the back.

12.01.2022 Having read the book Breathe by James Nestor (highly recommend) I Was inspired to share Esther’s thoughts on the subject of breathing. https://gokhalemethod.com/blog/67317

12.01.2022 Trampoline is a great way to exercise and strengthen the feet. Using our foot muscles is important. Most of us don't use them enough.

11.01.2022 Learning how to use your body again, changes everything!

11.01.2022 Free Workshop coming up on November 25th! Here is what one of my recent students from St Marys had to say about the Gokhale Method, " Since doing the Gokhale m...ethod with you, the pain in my left hip has disappeared completely. The muscles around my hip are holding and have not weakened. The pain in my right knee has gone. Two weeks ago, I could not cross my legs without experiencing excruciating pain. I can now almost cross my leg without pain. I can put on my socks and my shoes without the pain ah the simple things in life that give us joy when there is no pain! I feel tall. I feel relaxed. I feel so happy with my posture sitting, standing, walking, and lying in bed. I have the best sleeps. This is the best thing I have done for my body and mind. I wish I had done this 30 years ago! My family who have seen the before and after photos think that I have gone on this massive weight loss and exercise program. They are bewildered to learn that all I did was to re-learn how to walk, sit, stand and lie down. Simple!

08.01.2022 Don't miss Esther’s exciting new video interview on Anti-Aging Hacks! This in-depth discussion delves into the surprising reason why sedentary desk jobs are not necessarily to blame for back pain, and more! https://antiaginghacks.net/blogs/podcast/beat-back-pain

06.01.2022 This young girl on the left is beautifully upright, neck tall and aligned while looking down. Very different from what we see young people doing today doing while on their phones. The boy on the right has his head forward and leading with his hips.

06.01.2022 Love this...It's a hat and a way to carry a load on your head. Great design. Open to see how it transforms from hat to bucket!

05.01.2022 Focusing on the hands. After watching #EstherGokhale demonstrate Indian dancing in a recent video, I was inspired by her hand movements or mudras. As a massage therapist, my hands sometimes feel stiff. You may also feel this if you spend a lot of time on a computer or doing repetitive movements with your hands I followed along with this video and afterwards, my hands felt so free. You don't have to do these perfectly by any means. Just follow along as best you can. Make sure your shoulders are rolled back and your neck tall to begin with. Have fun!

04.01.2022 Here's a workout From Cirque du Soliel that will definitely get your heart rate up! Watch Esther Gokhale in her 1-2-3 move series to learn how to keep your inner corset engaged to protect the spine and joints before trying this! https://gokhalemethod.com/online_university

04.01.2022 I have so many of my massage clients (men especially) who hurt their backs and shoulders by doing manual labour tasks with poor posture. In the last few months, I have had complaints from chefs, painters, woodchoppers, farmers, builders and the list goes on. Massage will help, but changing one's posture is the key to getting to the root cause of the pain.

03.01.2022 Why is neck length so important? Neck pain seems to be an even more common problem than back pain in corporate settings or in work situations where you are spending a large amount of time in front of a computer. It doesn’t help that most ergonomic furniture is not only unhelpful but can be counterproductive. In office settings and everywhere else these days, we are surrounded by people who model poor (usually slumped) posture with forward head. 03.01.2022 Happening tomorrow morning 10am St Helens Neighbourhood House!

03.01.2022 Amazing tall posture shoulders back, chin angle down, behind-behind. Bones aligned for optimum weight bearing.

02.01.2022 The GokhaleMethod# has so many ways to help you improve the quality of your life.

02.01.2022 The irony of this photograph is disturbing! We often look at cleaning up our diets to get healthy. But for the sake of fashion, we may wear high heels. Wearing high heels can take its toll on our feet and backs. We all know the benefits of healthy eating but may not understand the benefits of healthy posture. The #GokhaleMethod helps you find your way back to natural healthy posture, by performing everyday activities more conscientiously. No high heels needed! Photo by Nicolas Haeni

02.01.2022 I was inspired to pass on this beautiful piece of art that was shared by Esther Gokhale today. "When looking down just a little bit, the eyes can do most of the work. Adam, anonymous, circa 1530, Rijksmuseum." E.G.

01.01.2022 See how this Balinese woman carries this load of fish on her head. This helps strengthen her neck. Her shoulders are positioned back (not slumped). Glutes are being used to move her forward. Everything is in alignment. This is a great way to carry things. Don't start with anything too heavy though. You want to start with something light and build from there. When the weight-bearing bones are used properly it helps guard against osteoporosis.

01.01.2022 Not great tone but shoulders well back and necks tall!
