24.01.2022 Thank you Kay Wilson, beautifully expressed, so in tune and spoken from a place of deep knowing ..... Thank you

24.01.2022 This is the definition of true connection, love this!

22.01.2022 When we take a moment to consciously breathe, we allow our minds to have a moment of peace. Taking a deep breath in is the beginning point to open up and expand, dropping the barriers which have been holding you back. Check in every now and then to notice, are you breathing in just enough to fill the top of your lungs or, are you breathing in deeply into your belly.... Breathing is our Life force allowing us to flow with Life.

22.01.2022 Important notice - to all my valued clients and all new upcoming clients Please note that due to the pre cautionary measures introduced throughout Victoria to help lower the curve of the corona virus I have made alternative arrangements for my counselling practice for the time being. I will now be offering over the phone consultations.... I will review this in time and may open up to zoom or Skype as well. It is my belief that now more than ever we need to connect and be available for everyone, and anyone who is feeling anxious, overwhelmed, fearful, to feel heard, understood and wanting to have heartfelt conversations. I feel we can achieve this. It will be different from face to face definitely, yet what we are facing is different and unprecedented. Let’s embrace this change to connect. It is time for us to reconnect with our emotions, to be open to the healing power of having true heart centred conversations. I look forward to hearing from you soon, send me a message and we can organise to connect over the phone. Stay well, Michelle

12.01.2022 You can’t calm the storm so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass Thick Nhat Hanh. During this challenging and anxious time it would great if we could lean in to support and nurture ourselves.... It is in this time of immense diversity we can look for the opportunities to dig deep within and find ways to move from fear to love. Instead of getting lost in our thinking mind, we can practice coming back to the present moment. Here is a gentle practice to help calm the busy, worrying mind and bring you back into the here and now. So take this moment and look around you. See if you can list 5 things - it could be your desk, coffee cup, computer, your phone, your pet...what can you see? Next, list 4 things you can hear. Simply notice them, what can you hear? Now bring your awareness to what you can feel where you are. Notice 3 things you can feel, your clothes, the sun warming you, a cool breeze...notice. This next one is for our sense of smell. So take a nice long deep breath in, and notice 2 things you can smell. It could be fresh air, the scent of your favourite oils diffusing, food cooking. Notice. And finally, see if you can taste anything, one thing. The cup of tea or coffee you have just made, a yummy chocolate you just had, the taste of an apple. 1 thing. How did you go? I hope you find this to be something you can lean on when you notice your self getting lost in your thoughts and feel overwhelmed, supporting you to move from fear to love. Helping to support and nurture you. When we consciously practice taking control of our mind we become the master of our minds not our minds being the master. I hope this serves you today

12.01.2022 Breathe During this uncertain time we may feel fearful, overwhelmed and anxious. Our very busy, creative minds can take us very quickly and convincingly into the unknown - creating panic and fear. I would love to invite you now to notice your breath. Where does it sit?... Now take a long, slow, deep breath in, all the way into your belly and then release it... Repeat this a couple of time and check in with how you feel. Can you feel the difference? As soon as we come back to our breath we automatically re-centre our central nervous system. Calming our whole body from fright, flight or freeze mode. By calming our nervous system we help strengthen our own immune system, we become present to the here and now. Pausing our busy creative minds. Calming our whole self into this moment. I know for me, I have been reyling on this very simple technique a lot this past week especially. Give it a go, and see if you can feel a sense of ease, even if it is only for that moment, it is a start.

08.01.2022 Enjoy your weekend! Remember to be gentle on yourself
