24.01.2022 I don't know about you, but the cards I need the most are 'Thank You' cards. Sometimes I like to give one to a friend who has listened to me until her ears must be burning, other times I'll drop one on the desk of a phenomenal woman who knows all and sees all and judges no-one, maybe I might drop one into a shop with a box of choccies to say thank you for outstanding service. SO! I have to say I'm quite excited for January's Stamp of the Month ... 'Every Thank You'. Lots of different fonts in script and print styles, in blocks and banners, and some pretty little hearts and stars. Here’s a pic showing the actual stamp set, along with some gorgeous creations from CTMH. I’ve made a few cards too ... I’ll pop them up later. Happy January 2nd!!

17.01.2022 In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m really on a card bender at the moment!! I decided to try use up all the bits and pieces that I’ve got on and around my craft desk. I see something I like and try it, usually in all different colours and textures and sizes, so you can imagine the stash of bits’n’pieces I have! I didn’t want to hit Pinterest or any of the online groups that have awesome card ideas, because THAT is where I get lost . down that ‘click and follow’ rabbit hole, wher...e time is lost and nothing actually gets created! This time, I reached for my trusty Make It From Your Heart Volume 4, which has 24 different patterns for cards. Probably my favourite thing about this volume is that I don’t really have to think too hard! Measurements are provided, as well as two samples made using the base design. As I flicked through, looking for cards that showcased backgrounds and tags, I wasn’t looking at the actual pattern, but at the samples. Pattern 15 grabbed me because it used strips, which I loved - it meant I would have enough left to pretty up the inside of the card as well as decorate the envelope to match. The red strip I made by running a piece of white card in a floral embossing folder through my die cutting machine. I rubbed a sponge over a red stamp pad, then sponged lightly over the raised side of the white card. I quite like the effect of the darker (raised) flowers against the lighter background, which contrasts nicely with the sapphire glitter paper and pretty patterned paper. One down, oodles to go! Happy Monday!! See more

06.01.2022 These cards originally had different messages on the front ... as I said earlier, I need more ‘thank you’ cards than anything else, so I swapped out some of what I think are the more sappy greetings, and used January’s set. I also like ‘hello’ style cards, so chucked in the ‘you’. I’ll show you the rest of the cards and the gorgeous double layouts I made using the ‘Happiness Lives Here’ paper pack another day. Today, I’m going to plug photos onto pages.

02.01.2022 January’s featured collection is called, ‘Happiness Lives Here’. It’s full of beautiful colours and patterns, and, one of my favourite things ... wooden shapes! My picture shows ten cards I’ve made with this paper pack, some of the collection’s stickers and a few of the wooden shapes. If you look closely, you’ll see some colouring that I’ve done with my inks and trusty sponges, on the edges of the shapes. What you may also notice is that I’ve used a few of the words from Jan...uary's Stamp of the Month, 'Every Thank You'. As I mentioned in my last post, I tend to use ‘thank you’ cards more than any other card. I cut one of the stamps to use only half, to better suit my card can you tell which one?! If you're the first to correctly tell me which card, I’ll post to you whichever card you like best from this batch (with its matching envelope - I always decorate my envelopes to match the insides of my cards!) Then, you'll have a card on hand to give/send to someone when you need it! Happy Friday! See more
