21.01.2022 HAPPY HALLOWEEN ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!! Happy Halloween! On this day 30 years ago I saw my first Bon Jovi concert (I was fairly young. LOL). They are still one of my favourite bands and always put on an awesome live show. The poster from this concert still hangs proudly on my bedroom wall. My first camera was an Olympus mju 105 and I took it to concerts. Over the years attending Bon Jovi and many other concerts, I learnt about low light and concert photography and how to co...mpose and time the photo just right. The picture I took in the photo was taken in January 2008 (with a newer point and shoot camera) and this photo is a "fridge shot" (ie it is proudly displayed on my fridge, with many others). A few years after starting with the concert photos, I bought my first SLR and started travelling the world and taking landscape images. Fast forward many years later and I started my business in portraits and personal branding. But I credit my love of Bon Jovi and concert photography as the start of my photography passion. Thanks to my Mum for taking me to that and many more concerts since then. What is one of your passions and how did it begin?

17.01.2022 On the first Saturday of October each year, photographers and enthusiasts around the world get out their cameras and meet up at a designated location in their town to walk around and take photographs, socialize, make new friends, win prizes, and be a part of a great cause during Scott Kelbys Worldwide Photowalk After the walk, participants have the opportunity to submit their best photo into a contest. One photo is then chosen from that walk group to enter into the main competition for all the walks around the world. Mine was that photo! Yay.
